1414 Degrees Ltd (ASX:14D) has taken a decisive step in its renewable energy ambitions by acquiring Vast Solar Aurora Pty Ltd, thereby securing 100% ownership of the Aurora Energy Precinct near Port Augusta, South Australia. This move consolidates all project entities and development approvals under one roof, removing the previous joint venture structure and giving 1414 Degrees unfettered control over the precinct's future.
The acquisition, completed for $350,000, brings together site investments exceeding $10 million collectively made by 1414 Degrees, SiliconAurora, and Vast Solar Aurora. With full ownership, the company can now independently drive financing discussions, engage directly with potential customers, and orchestrate staged infrastructure development aligned with market demand.
Progress on AI Data Centre and Transmission Infrastructure
A key commercial highlight is the Heads of Agreement signed in July 2026 with an Australian data centre developer to build up to 1 GW of AI data centre infrastructure at Aurora. This aligns with Australia's booming data centre market, where investment pipelines are estimated between $150 billion and $155 billion, underscoring the precinct’s potential as a high-intensity energy user hub.
