Atlas Discovery Delivers Record Grade-Thickness Intersections
Paladin Energy Ltd (ASX:PDN) has pushed the boundaries of its Patterson Lake South (PLS) uranium project with new drilling results that reinforce the Atlas discovery as a major mineralised zone. The standout hole, PLS26-782, intersected 42.1 metres of composite mineralisation, including 26.4 metres grading 0.7% equivalent uranium oxide (eU₃O₈) and 12.5 metres at 1.8% eU₃O₈. This represents the highest grade-thickness (GT) intersection recorded at Atlas so far, underscoring the zone’s potential significance within the PLS corridor.
Beyond the main Atlas area, a step-out hole 270 metres northeast (PLS26-757) returned 2.3 metres at 1.2% eU₃O₈, suggesting the mineralised system may be more extensive than previously understood. These results build on earlier discoveries and highlight a substantial target area for follow-up drilling.
Triple R Deposit Shows New High-Grade Extensions
At the flagship Triple R deposit, Paladin’s 2026 drilling program focused on resource extension, particularly around the western R1515W zone. The company intersected uranium mineralisation beyond the current resource envelope, including a new high-grade zone approximately 100 metres east of the R1515W resource footprint.
Hole PLS26-779 delivered 12.7 metres of mineralisation with 3.4 metres grading 0.7% eU₃O₈, while a nearby follow-up hole (PLS26-784) intersected 3.8 metres at 1.8% eU₃O₈. These intersections remain open, indicating potential for further resource growth in this area.
Saloon East Discovery Expands Along Strike and Depth
The Saloon East zone, located about 3.5 kilometres southeast of Triple R, continues to grow with multiple uranium intersections across a widening footprint. Recent drillholes have returned broad zones of near-resource-grade mineralisation, including 19.7 metres at 0.1% eU₃O₈ in hole PLS26-729 and other intervals showing consistent uranium presence.
Paladin’s ongoing drilling campaign is defining Saloon East as a promising emerging discovery with potential to add resources within the broader PLS project area, complementing the more advanced Triple R and Atlas zones.
