Right Resources Limited (ASX:RRE) has unveiled a new peak selective rock-chip gold assay of 5.16 g/t from the eastern side of its Blue Prospect in New South Wales, significantly upgrading the target ahead of its maiden drilling campaign. This result more than quadruples the previously reported top assay of 1.19 g/t Au and sharpens focus on a 300 m by 300 m priority target area marked by intense quartz veining and elevated bismuth values.
The company’s systematic soil and rock-chip sampling has delineated a substantial 4.0 km north-south by 0.8 km east-west gold-anomalous corridor on the prospect's eastern flank. Multiple widely spaced rock-chip samples exceeding 0.3 g/t Au, including the standout 5.16 g/t, underpin this corridor, which lies within the broader 4.7 km by 3.4 km multi-element footprint that includes tungsten and bismuth anomalies. Geochemical analysis reveals a compelling spatial association between gold and bismuth, with all rock-chip samples above 0.1 g/t Au coinciding with bismuth concentrations over 100 times background levels. The peak gold assays of 1.19 g/t and 5.16 g/t occur within zones where bismuth values exceed 1,000 times background, reinforcing bismuth’s role as a critical pathfinder for gold mineralisation at Blue.
This gold-bismuth linkage is consistent with the company's model of an intrusion-related hydrothermal system, providing a valuable vector for targeting. The priority eastern target area, measuring roughly 300 m square, hosts strongly elevated bismuth (up to 630 ppm) alongside semi-continuous quartz veins up to 10 cm thick, which suggests focused hydrothermal fluid flow, a hallmark of mineralising systems.

Reconnaissance geological mapping has identified several hydrothermal alteration styles within felsic intrusive rocks on the prospect’s eastern boundary, including quartz-sulphide stockwork veins, quartz-tourmaline breccias, quartz-sulphide-cemented breccias, and pegmatites. These breccias, mapped over a 3 km north-south corridor, contain angular fragments cemented by quartz-tourmaline or quartz-sulphide matrices, indicative of intense hydrothermal fluid flow.
Such breccias are often important hosts or conduits for mineralisation in intrusion-related systems. Their spatial association with quartz veining, sulphide mineralisation, and anomalous gold and bismuth geochemistry makes them prime targets for drilling to understand their subsurface extent, geometry, and relationship to tungsten and gold mineralisation.
Maiden Aircore Drilling Program Set for September
Right Resources is on track to commence a fully funded maiden aircore drilling program in September 2026, comprising approximately 60 holes for 3,000 metres. The initial 2,000 metres will focus on high-priority tungsten and gold targets on EL9028, with the drill design being refined to incorporate the new eastern gold and bismuth targets where access permits.
This reconnaissance drilling aims to test whether the promising surface geochemical and geological signatures persist at depth, providing initial data on mineralisation tenor, geometry, and continuity.
