Leadership Shake-up Signals Commercial Focus
Adisyn Ltd (ASX:AI1) has initiated a significant leadership transition as it prepares to move from technology development into commercial execution. Kevin Crofton, formerly Non-Executive Chairman, has been promoted to Executive Chairman effective immediately, tasked with steering the company’s strategic, technical, and commercial priorities during this critical phase.
Meanwhile, Arye Kohavi, the current Managing Director of Adisyn and CEO of its subsidiary 2D Generation Ltd, will not have his CEO contract extended beyond January 2027. Kohavi’s role at Adisyn has been adjusted to Non-Executive Director, effective immediately, marking a clear shift in the company’s leadership structure.
Search for Semiconductor Industry Veteran Underway
The Board has commenced a search for a new CEO for 2D Generation Ltd, seeking an executive with deep semiconductor industry experience and a proven track record in technology commercialisation. This move underscores Adisyn’s strategic priority to accelerate its commercial growth by appointing leadership with relevant industry expertise.
Kevin Crofton brings over 30 years of international leadership in semiconductors, advanced manufacturing, and technology sectors. His expanded role aims to ensure continuity and strengthen the company’s ability to execute its semiconductor strategy and commercial objectives during this transition.
Building on Established Semiconductor Foundations
Adisyn’s Board highlighted the company’s substantial progress in developing its semiconductor technology platform and expanding its portfolio of graphene-based applications. This includes increasing engagement with global semiconductor players across AI computing, communications, and defence sectors.
The leadership change aligns with the Board’s view that Adisyn is now poised to accelerate commercial execution, moving beyond foundational technology development. Crofton emphasised the importance of appointing the right CEO to build on these strong foundations and drive commercial growth.
“My immediate priority as Executive Chairman is to ensure continuity while the Board secures a Chief Executive Officer with extensive semiconductor industry experience and a proven track record in technology commercialisation, strategic partnerships and business growth,” Crofton said.
Remuneration and Continuity
Despite his expanded responsibilities, Crofton’s remuneration will remain unchanged during the transition. This decision reflects a focus on stability and prudent governance as the company navigates this leadership evolution.
Adisyn’s core technology centres on a patented low-temperature Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) process for direct graphene growth on semiconductor wafers, aiming to overcome copper interconnect limitations in next-generation devices. The company also explores graphene applications in radar signature reduction for defence platforms.
Bottom Line?
Adisyn’s leadership reshuffle prioritises commercial execution, but the pace and success of CEO recruitment will be critical to translating its technological advances into market growth.
