Catalina Resources Advances Mid-West Projects Towards Drilling Milestones

Santy Target Nears First Drill Campaign

Catalina Resources Limited (ASX:CTN) is preparing to kick off its inaugural drilling program at the Santy target within its Tallering Project, aiming for November 2026. This follows extensive groundwork that has delineated a 2.2-kilometre gold anomalous trend adjacent to known deposits, complemented by a promising tungsten-polymetallic system. Historical drilling has returned notable tungsten grades, including 17 metres at 0.178% WO₃, with rock-chip sampling confirming elevated levels of tungsten, molybdenum, bismuth, copper, silver, and gold. The presence of an untested eastern IP conductivity anomaly adds further intrigue to the Santy prospect.

Heritage clearances remain a prerequisite before drilling can commence, but field teams are actively refining targets and scouting additional opportunities across the broader Santy area. This drill program will be Catalina’s first direct test of these priority targets, potentially marking a significant step in unlocking the project's value.

Kirkalocka Progresses Towards Drill-Ready Status

At Kirkalocka, Catalina is closing in on a maiden drilling campaign after completing approximately 1,500 soil samples across several gold prospects, including Highway, Capra, Avis, and Two Mile Bore. Assay results are pending, but historical data show high-grade gold intercepts such as 1 metre at 23.08 g/t Au and surface samples up to 9.89 g/t Au, underscoring the project's potential.

Heritage surveys are scheduled to begin shortly, involving collaboration with the Badimia Traditional Owners. The completion of these surveys is the final hurdle before Kirkalocka reaches drill-ready status. Strategically, the project's proximity to the existing Kirkalocka Gold Mine and processing facilities could streamline future development if exploration success translates into economically viable mineralisation.

Warriedar Sees Maiden Field Exploration

Warriedar marks Catalina’s first on-ground exploration effort within a relatively underexplored tenement in the Yalgoo–Singleton Greenstone Belt, a region bustling with established resource companies. The initial reconnaissance program will validate historical datasets, assess structural and lithological features, and identify priority zones for follow-up. This maiden fieldwork is crucial for establishing Catalina’s understanding of Warriedar’s potential and shaping future exploration strategies in this tightly held Mid-West district.

Maintaining Momentum Across the Mid-West Portfolio

Executive Director Ross Cotton emphasised the company’s focus on maintaining exploration momentum and ensuring seamless transitions between project phases. Concurrent workstreams across the portfolio, ranging from heritage clearances to target refinement, aim to position Catalina for rapid advancement once key milestones are achieved. The strategy reflects a disciplined approach to unlocking value from multiple gold, copper, and critical mineral opportunities within a highly prospective Western Australian province.
