The approximately 5,000-meter Phase 3 diamond drilling program aims to test a large, structurally controlled hydrothermal uranium system within the Precambrian Long Range Complex, a target defined by recent detailed geophysical surveys and reinterpretation of historic data.
Supported by a 1,000-meter trenching program running in parallel, the drilling targets focus on the intersection of multiple structural and geochemical anomalies. These include areas where two principal structural families, east-west and north-northwest to north-northeast striking faults, intersect, coinciding with zones of magnetic destruction and uranium anomalism. This integrated targeting approach is designed to exploit the geological setting where oxidising hydrothermal fluids have altered the granite host rock, creating favourable conditions for uranium deposition.

The Phase 3 campaign follows Infini’s comprehensive 2026 airborne magnetic, electromagnetic, and radiometric surveys, alongside field mapping and prospecting. High-resolution magnetic inversion modelling has delineated linear zones of low magnetic intensity interpreted as fault zones with demagnetised granite, interpreted as hydrothermal alteration footprints. This geophysical signature underpins the company's exploration model and has guided drill hole positioning to intersect key structures at optimal angles and depths.
One highlight of the program is the first drill test beneath the talus slope at the Falls Lake Prospect, where soil sampling has returned assays as high as approximately 7.5% U3O8. The project area also hosts a striking high-grade soil anomaly measuring roughly 800 by 100 meters, with peak assays reaching an extraordinary 74,997 ppm U3O8, located down-ice and west of a broader radiometric anomaly.
Strategic Importance and Next Steps
CEO Rohan Bone described the Phase 3 program as the culmination of a year’s work, transforming Portland Creek from scattered uranium occurrences into a coherent, district-scale target with defined geometry at depth. The drilling contractor Rodren Drilling and geological services provider Coast Mountain Geological are supporting the operation, which represents the largest exploration program in the project’s history.
