Golden Dragon Mining has extended the Cue Gold Project’s high-grade story, with Behring Bore returning 4 metres at 6.98 g/t gold and Coodardy mineralisation now defined across about 500 metres of strike. A larger 2,500-metre RC program will test whether the zones continue at depth and along strike.

Behring Bore Adds A New High-Grade Lode
Golden Dragon Mining Ltd (ASX:GDR) has found another high-grade component within its Cue Gold Project, with hole 26BB045 returning 4 metres at 6.98 g/t gold from 36 metres at Behring Bore. The result came from a new quartz lode close to surface and sits within a broader 8-metre intersection grading 3.64 g/t gold.
The company says the mineralisation is hosted in the upper portion of an altered, pyritic quartz dolerite. Its resampling work indicates that higher grades correlate with stronger alteration, quartz veining and sulphide intensity, giving the exploration team a geological vector for follow-up drilling. Another hole, 26BB047, intersected the same dolerite unit at depth and returned 8 metres at 1.40 g/t gold from 100 metres.
Coodardy High-Grade Trend Reaches 500 Metres
At Coodardy, 11 holes for 960 metres extended the mineralised system to approximately 500 metres of strike. The company describes a broad, shallow envelope containing discrete higher-grade shoots, with the most important orientation trending northeast and remaining open along strike.
Reassaying of earlier 4-metre composites at 1-metre intervals sharpened the high-grade picture. Hole 26CD014 returned 11 metres at 6.42 g/t gold from 45 metres, including 1 metre at 59.20 g/t, while 26CD012 returned 6 metres at 5.02 g/t from 28 metres, including 1 metre at 28.10 g/t. Recent drilling also produced 8 metres at 2.55 g/t from 36 metres in hole 26CD031.
Open Extensions Drive Larger RC Program
Golden Dragon is now drilling with a larger RC rig across both prospects, planning approximately 2,500 metres to test depth extensions, continuity and the scale of the mineralised envelopes. At Behring Bore, the focus is the eastern corridor and the altered dolerite unit; at Coodardy, the northeast-trending high-grade shoot is the priority.
The results are exploration-stage intersections rather than a mineral resource or economic assessment. All reported widths are downhole lengths, so true widths have not yet been established, and the company says mineralisation remains open in several directions. The next drilling therefore has to demonstrate more than isolated high grades: it must establish continuity, geometry and sufficient density to support any future resource work.
Cue Project Holds A Large Exploration Footprint
The Cue project comprises granted and pending exploration licences, granted mining leases and more than 50 kilometres of mineralised shear zones. Golden Dragon says the landholding could reach approximately 619 square kilometres once the pending applications are granted, although those applications remain subject to the relevant approvals.
For now, the immediate test is underground rather than administrative. Results from the larger RC campaign should show whether the high-grade quartz lodes and dolerite-hosted mineralisation form connected, repeatable shoots or remain separate exploration targets. That distinction will determine how much weight the 500-metre Coodardy trend and the Behring Bore discovery can carry.
