Resolution Minerals Completes Idaho Drilling With Gold and Tungsten Assays Ahead

Mining By Maxwell Dee 4 min read

Resolution Minerals has finished its largest-ever exploration program at the Horse Heaven project in Idaho, drilling 42 diamond holes across 12,236 metres. The work sets up a substantial run of gold, tungsten and multi-element assay results, but the completed program has not yet produced new assay data in this announcement.

  • 42 diamond holes completed across 12,236 metres
  • Assays pending from 39 drill holes
  • Gold mineralisation extended at least 2,000 metres south
  • Scheelite observed during tungsten-targeted drilling
  • NASDAQ ADR trading commenced on 9 September

42 Holes Complete at Golden Gate

Resolution Minerals Ltd (ASX:RML; NASDAQ: RML) has completed a 12,236-metre diamond drilling campaign at Golden Gate, the gold and tungsten prospect within its Horse Heaven antimony-tungsten-gold-silver project in Idaho. The 42-hole program, with an average depth of about 290 metres, covered the Golden Gate North and Golden Gate South prospects and is the largest exploration campaign the company has conducted at Horse Heaven.

The immediate significance is what remains in the laboratory. Assay results are pending for 39 of the holes, with gold, tungsten and multi-element results expected to be released as they arrive. Resolution says all core has been logged, photographed and inspected under shortwave ultraviolet light for scheelite, a tungsten-bearing mineral, while the final samples are due to be dispatched for analysis.

Earlier Gold Results Set the Test

This announcement contains no new assay results from the completed holes. Instead, it points back to the first three 2026 holes and the 2025 campaign, which the company says established broad gold mineralisation at Golden Gate. The strongest reported 2026 intercept was 305.7 metres at 0.64 grams per tonne gold from surface in HH-GG26-003C, including 17.25 metres at 1.19 grams per tonne from 264.85 metres.

Earlier drilling produced higher-grade reported intervals, including 189.2 metres at 1.30 grams per tonne gold in HH-GG25-001C and 253 metres at 1.5 grams per tonne in HH-GG25-003C. These are down-hole lengths rather than stated true widths, and they come from previously reported holes rather than the 39 assays now pending. That distinction matters: the new program has expanded the dataset, but its economic weight will depend on whether the next results demonstrate consistent grade, thickness and continuity.

Golden Gate South and Tungsten Targets

Resolution says the three 2026 holes with reported assays extended gold mineralisation at least 2,000 metres south from Golden Gate North to Golden Gate South. On that basis, the company describes Golden Gate South as having reached “discovery status”, supported by drilling, soil sampling, geophysics and geological mapping. The pending holes are intended to test how far that mineralisation continues and how it behaves at depth.

Tungsten is the second part of the campaign. Drilling targeted mineralisation around historical Golden Gate scheelite workings at Golden Gate North and a broad tungsten-in-soil anomaly at Golden Gate South. Scheelite has been visually identified in early 2026 core, but visual observations are not assay results; the tungsten content and potential scale remain to be established through laboratory analysis.

Permitting and US Market Exposure

Horse Heaven sits immediately beside Perpetua Resources’ recently permitted Stibnite Gold Project. Resolution says Golden Gate and Antimony Ridge have received FAST-41 Transparency Coverage from the US Permitting Council, which it expects to support the permitting process for the prospects and the wider project. The announcement also highlights the company’s first day of NASDAQ trading on 9 September, when it said RML achieved its highest-ever value traded, with the stock trading in the United States as a 200:1 ADR.

Those US-market and permitting references add strategic colour, but they do not replace the geological test ahead. The next meaningful evidence will come from the 39 outstanding assays, particularly whether gold continuity is matched by tungsten grades and whether the combined results are sufficient to support a future mineral resource estimate.

Bottom Line?

The drilling milestone is complete, but the investment case now turns on 39 pending assays and whether broad intercepts translate into a coherent, economically relevant mineralised system.

Questions in the middle?

  • Will the remaining assays confirm the reported gold continuity between Golden Gate North and Golden Gate South?
  • How strong and continuous is the tungsten mineralisation identified visually in the core?
  • Can the expanded drilling dataset support a mineral resource estimate and advance permitting decisions?
