Two Western Australian awards add approximately $313 million
NRW Holdings Limited (ASX:NWH) has added approximately $313 million of contracted work through two awards spanning gold processing and major roads infrastructure in Western Australia. The announcement gives the group a fresh order-book boost, but does not break out the value of the Mount Magnet project or provide contract margins, costs or revenue timing.
Primero Group, NRW's engineering and construction subsidiary, will deliver Ramelius Resources' (ASX:RMS) Mount Magnet Expansion Project. The scope covers a new crushing circuit and coarse ore stockpile, a grinding circuit, additional leach tanks and related gold-processing infrastructure.
Mount Magnet expansion targets 3 Mtpa of new capacity
The expansion is designed to add 3 million tonnes per annum of processing capacity alongside the existing 2 Mtpa plant. NRW said the work will support the processing of ore from multiple sources and expand the Mount Magnet production hub, while the current plant processes Dalgaranga ore at a finer grind at a nominal 1.3 Mtpa.
For Primero, the award is a significant minerals-processing project rather than a simple construction package. Managing director Michael Gollschewski said the contract reflected Ramelius's confidence in Primero's delivery capability and its track record in complex minerals-processing work. NRW chief executive and managing director Jules Pemberton said the project would expand the group's exposure to the gold sector and strengthen its order book.
Hale Road interchange lifts road project to $300 million
NRW Contracting has separately secured optional works tied to the Tonkin Highway Grade Separations, Hale Road and Welshpool Road East Project for Main Roads Western Australia. The additional scope includes a half-diamond interchange at Hale Road with north-facing ramps, plus civil, drainage, pavement, structural, utility and ancillary works.
The optional works lift the total value of that project to approximately $300 million, with access scheduled for 5 October 2026. The award adds weight to NRW's civil construction pipeline, though the filing does not say how much of the increased value will be recognised in the current financial year or disclose expected profitability.
