Pilbara Gold has reported broad and high-grade gold intersections at its 2.1Moz Mt York project, including mineralisation about 100 metres below the current resource. The results support ongoing resource classification work, while deeper drilling and further assays could determine how much growth is ultimately added.

Pilbara Gold Limited (ASX:PGL) has pushed its Mt York resource story deeper, with drilling identifying gold mineralisation roughly 100 metres below the current resource pit shell at Main Hill. The latest results include 22 metres at 1.29 grams per tonne gold from 321 metres and a separate 9-metre interval at 2.11g/t from 416 metres in hole 26MYRCD007.
Main Hill Drilling Extends Below Current Resource
The results also contain sharper high-grade zones. Main Hill returned 5 metres at 7.91g/t from 29 metres, including 2 metres at 15.65g/t, while deeper drilling delivered 5 metres at 6.53g/t from 265 metres and 13 metres at 3.13g/t from 297 metres. Other intersections included 16 metres at 2.26g/t, 23 metres at 2.11g/t and 22 metres at 1.90g/t.
Pilbara Gold said the Main Hill results confirm the continuity of mineralisation down dip and below the optimised pit shell. The company also reported broad intervals such as 48 metres at 0.78g/t and 67 metres at 0.43g/t, which it says will help improve confidence in the geometry and grade continuity of the resource. The reported widths are primarily down-hole intervals, with estimated true widths provided separately in the filing.
Breccia Hill Results Support Resource Classification
At Breccia Hill, infill drilling was aimed partly at validating historical results before the next Mineral Resource Estimate. The latest holes returned 17 metres at 3.21g/t, including 4 metres at 9.51g/t; 18 metres at 2.70g/t, including 3 metres at 7.06g/t; and 31 metres at 1.91g/t, including 3 metres at 10.91g/t.
Pilbara Gold said the new drilling correlates strongly with the historic dataset and confirms continuity, geological interpretation and grade distribution in key areas. That could support the conversion of some existing Inferred material to Indicated resources, although any classification change and additional ounces remain subject to the resource estimation process.
Drilling Moves From Infill Toward Deeper Growth
The 2026 Mt York programme is now 36,600 metres complete, or about 60% of the planned 60,000 metres, with further assays still pending. Critical PFS infill drilling is scheduled for completion in October, after which the rigs are expected to move towards deeper, more than 100-metre resource and extensional drilling in November, including Main Hill Extension and the area around the so-called Monster Zone.
The next formal milestones are an updated Mt York MRE targeted for early 2027 and completion of the PFS in the first half of 2027. Pilbara Gold also plans an airborne electromagnetic survey over 280 square kilometres south of Mt York and a separate 12,000-metre programme at its Roe Hills project near Kalgoorlie. For Mt York, the question is no longer simply whether mineralisation continues, but how much of the deeper system can be converted into a resource that survives the economic and technical scrutiny of the PFS.

The drilling strengthens the case for a larger Mt York resource, but the investment-significant evidence will come from the outstanding assays, the early 2027 MRE and whether deeper ounces can support the PFS mine design.
