Aruma Finds More Room for Tillex Copper Growth

Aruma Resources has extended shallow, broad copper-silver mineralisation at its Tillex Project in Ontario, with drilling pushing the high-grade footprint 100 metres southwest and 30 metres east. Further assays are pending from a program that is only about one-third complete.

  • 27m at 1.00% copper and 3.92g/t silver from 54m
  • High-grade mineralisation extended 100m southwest and 30m east
  • 3m at 0.45% copper and 3.3g/t silver at 182m depth
  • Phase 2 drilling approximately one-third complete
  • Assays pending from holes up to 130m southwest

Aruma Resources Limited (ASX:AAJ) has pushed the known high-grade footprint at its Tillex Copper-Silver Project materially beyond the existing drill-defined zone, with the strongest new result stretching 100 metres southwest from the southern margin. The result, from hole TX26-010, returned 27 metres at 1.00% copper and 3.92g/t silver from 54 metres, including 17.85 metres at 1.26% copper and 2.9 metres at 1.63% copper.

The extension is not confined to one direction. Hole TX26-006 added 14 metres at 1.38% copper and 5.0g/t silver from 83 metres, including 2.1 metres at 3.60% copper and 12.95g/t silver, about 30 metres east of the existing high-grade zone. Hole TX26-009, drilled roughly 35 metres southwest of the known zone, returned 11.68 metres at 1.07% copper and 5.61g/t silver from 39 metres.

Phase 2 Drilling Expands the Mineralised Footprint

Aruma said the results demonstrate lateral continuity along the southwest to northeast Tillex Trend and support its view that the project could develop into a significant near-surface copper deposit. The company interprets the broader trend as extending for about 2.4 kilometres, although much of that prospective strike remains untested.

The drilling also points below the shallow zone. Hole TX26-007 intersected 3 metres at 0.45% copper and 3.3g/t silver from 182 metres, in a geological setting near the argillite-volcanic contact that Aruma says is repeated in other mineralised intersections. The company is treating that result as evidence that the system continues at depth, rather than as a standalone high-grade interval.

Pending Holes Will Test the Southwest Extension

Only about one-third of the Phase 2 drilling has been completed. Assays from holes TX26-011 to TX26-014 remain pending, with the next holes positioned as far as 130 metres southwest of the existing high-grade zone. Aruma plans further step-out drilling to the southwest and west, alongside geological remodelling and possible structural surveys to refine its targeting.

The results are encouraging exploration evidence, but they do not yet constitute a Mineral Resource or establish that the mineralisation will be economic. The reported intersections are down-hole lengths, and true widths have not been calculated. For shareholders, the immediate test is whether the pending holes convert this expanding pattern into a more continuous and geometrically defined deposit.

Bottom Line?

The next assays should show whether Tillex is becoming a coherent high-grade corridor or remains a series of promising but still-separated intersections.

Questions in the middle?

  • Will holes TX26-011 to TX26-014 confirm continuous mineralisation across the southwest extension?
  • How do the reported down-hole intervals translate into true widths and a future resource model?
  • Can deeper drilling establish a meaningful second component to the shallow copper-silver system?
