Empire Resources has identified rare earth oxide and phosphate mineralisation across three Yuinmery prospects, with new archived-drilling results reaching 1,712.5ppm TREO+Y. The early-stage opportunity now depends on additional assays, follow-up drilling and proof that the material can be upgraded economically.

Empire Resources Limited (ASX:ERL) has found a second exploration angle at its Yuinmery copper-gold project, reporting rare earth oxide and phosphate mineralisation across the YT01, YT02 and YT19 prospects. The three areas cover more than 3.2km of strike, with new results from archived drilling reaching 1,712.5 parts per million TREO+Y and earlier samples returning as much as 3,146.7ppm.
Archived Drilling Reveals Multiple Rare Earth Intervals
The newly extracted data came from seven historic drill jobs selected after elevated cerium and lanthanum results flagged potential rare earth mineralisation. The strongest reported new interval was an eight-metre composite in YAC19-11 at YT01, grading 1,712.5ppm TREO+Y from eight metres. YAC19-09 returned 1,455.5ppm over four metres, while YAC19-06 produced 1,315.5ppm over eight metres.
Other results included 1,265.9ppm over four metres in YAC19-02 at YT19, 1,237.9ppm over eight metres in YAC19-03 and 1,016.9ppm over eight metres in YRC20-01 at YT02. The company notes that several of the reported intervals are four-metre composite samples, meaning the results are useful for early target generation but do not yet establish consistent grades through individual metres.
Magnetic Rare Earth Elements Drive the Interest
Empire’s interest is not limited to total rare earth content. The historic dataset contained neodymium, praseodymium, dysprosium and terbium, the magnetic rare earth oxides that are generally central to the company’s stated exploration focus. The company says the MREO grades from the new results are comparable with reported grades at Victory Metals’ North Stanmore heavy rare earth project, although no resource, recovery rate or economic assessment has been reported for Yuinmery.
The proposed processing concept is also important. Empire says the mineralisation appears associated with phosphate and may include minerals such as monazite, xenotime, rhabdophane and churchite, which can respond to froth flotation. It contrasts that route with ionic-clay deposits, which typically rely on leaching and precipitation. The company cites Victory Metals’ reported pilot work, where material grading 1,195ppm TREO was upgraded to about 7.09% TREO, but that result was generated from a different project and does not demonstrate recoveries from Yuinmery rock.
Assay Review Comes Before November Drilling
Empire has now asked Perth laboratories to retrieve full rare earth data from all archived and recent drilling at YT01, YT02 and YT19. The locations of the higher-grade results add an exploration question: some YT01 intervals sit 100 to 160 metres south of the copper-gold prospect and remain open along strike, while the YT19 results appear to sit over a magnetic high that could provide a future drill target.
If the remaining data is encouraging, Empire says it will proceed with shallow drilling, with a rig tentatively booked for November 2026. That program would also provide material for independent beneficiation testing. Until those steps are completed, Yuinmery is a promising rare earth target rather than a defined deposit: continuity, mineralogy, recoveries and the proportion of valuable magnetic elements remain unresolved.

The next value-adding test is not another headline grade but whether the remaining assays and independent flotation work establish continuity and a credible upgrade path.
