Daly uncovers wider fluorite system at Huckitta

Soil anomalies push Huckitta beyond exposed veins

Daly Resources Limited (ASX:DLY) has found evidence that its Huckitta fluorite system extends well beyond the veins visible at surface, with a 10.7-kilometre soil traverse identifying multiple coherent fluorine anomalies across the Northern Territory project. The results extend east beyond known vein outcrop and cover areas where transported material or limited outcrop would otherwise make surface mapping difficult.

The traverse sits about 1.3 kilometres north of Huckitta’s main cluster of known fluorite veins and was designed to test the potential northern extension of the system. Several anomalies appear to support the along-strike continuation of known fluorite-bearing trends, while new anomalous zones at the eastern end have been flagged for follow-up work.

Rock chips add a western fluorite target

Surface sampling has also added a new fluorite-bearing vein west of Daly’s previously defined Priority Target Area. The latest assay table includes rock chips grading as high as 74.2% calcium fluoride, or CaF2, alongside several other elevated results. These are individual reconnaissance rock-chip samples, however, rather than drill intersections or measurements of true vein width.

The geochemical signal is not limited to fluorine. Several anomalies also carry elevated thorium and associated tin, niobium, tungsten, rubidium and beryllium, a combination Daly interprets as potentially reflecting the wider footprint of an evolved fluorine-rich hydrothermal system. That interpretation remains a targeting aid: the company explicitly cautions that soil anomalies do not directly establish fluorite beneath each location.

Regional survey will set the drilling priorities

Daly will now run a systematic regional soil survey across the prospective basement geology within its tenure. The results will be combined with geological mapping and recently completed high-resolution magnetic and radiometric surveys to identify areas where fluorite-bearing veins may be concentrated, stacked or continuous along strike.

The immediate objective is target ranking ahead of Huckitta’s maiden drilling campaign. No drilling formed part of the latest programme, and the single soil traverse, sampled at roughly 50-metre intervals, is not sufficient to establish grade continuity or a mineral resource. The next test for Daly is therefore whether the broader geochemical footprint can be converted into coherent structures with meaningful thickness, continuity and grade below surface.

Huckitta’s exploration footprint is growing, but its investment case still turns on whether regional anomalies translate into drill-confirmed fluorite continuity and scale.
