Avenira extends $48.87 million rights issue to 30 October
Avenira has extended its $48.9 million renounceable rights issue by more than a month as it seeks strategic and cornerstone investors. About $10.4 million has been received from investors other than major shareholder Hebang, leaving roughly $9.1 million of that allocation still available.
- Rights issue closing date extended to 30 October 2026
- Approximately $10.4 million received from non-Hebang investors
- Roughly $9.1 million remains available outside Hebang’s entitlement
- Hebang committed to take up its full entitlement, subject to a 60% voting cap
- Results and new share issue scheduled for 6 November 2026
Avenira Gives Investors More Time to Fill Rights Issue
Avenira Limited (ASX:AEV) has pushed its $48.87 million renounceable rights issue into late October, giving prospective strategic and cornerstone investors additional time to complete their investment approvals and funding processes.
The revised closing date is Friday, 30 October, replacing the previous deadline of 24 September. The company said discussions with several potential investors remain active, but it did not identify those parties or disclose how much they might commit.
$10.4 Million Received Outside Hebang
Hebang Biotechnology (Hong Kong) Investment Limited has committed to take up its full entitlement, provided its voting power does not exceed 60% after the Rights Issue and Top Up Offer. That commitment leaves approximately $19.5 million of the offer available to shareholders and investors other than Hebang.
Avenira said it has received applications and subscription funds totalling about $10.4 million from that non-Hebang pool. On the figures disclosed, roughly $9.1 million remains available to be subscribed, although the announcement does not indicate whether all of the remaining capacity will be filled.
Final Raise and Ownership Mix Remain Unsettled
The extension is therefore more than a timetable change: it leaves the final size of the capital raising and the participation of new strategic investors unresolved. Avenira is offering three new shares for every two held by eligible shareholders, with the issue capable of raising approximately $48.87 million before costs.
The company expects to announce the Rights Issue result and issue the new shares on 6 November, with trading currently scheduled to begin on 9 November. Those dates may change if the directors extend the offer again with at least three business days’ notice to ASX.
Bottom Line?
The key test is whether the extra month converts investor discussions into committed funds, rather than simply moving the same funding question further down the timetable.
Questions in the middle?
- Will the unnamed strategic and cornerstone investors commit enough to absorb the remaining non-Hebang allocation?
- What will be the final amount raised once applications and subscription funds are reconciled?
- How will Hebang’s participation affect the company’s ownership and voting structure after the offer and Top Up Offer?
