Great Southern Mining has returned high-grade gold intercepts from the first 19 RC holes at Golden Boulder, including 2m at 10.72 g/t. The results extend mineralisation down dip and leave most of the 14,000m program still to come.

High-grade hits arrive from Golden Boulder
Great Southern Mining Limited (ASX:GSN) has found some of its strongest early gold grades at the Golden Boulder discovery, with the first 19 RC holes returning an intercept of 10m at 2.62 g/t gold, including 2m at 10.72 g/t from just 20m depth. The result came from hole 26GBRC011 and was accompanied by deeper intersections including 8m at 2.24 g/t, with a 2m section grading 7.20 g/t in hole 26GBRC019.
Other notable results included 7m at 2.45 g/t from 41m, 3m at 3.07 g/t from 105m and 3m at 3.32 g/t from 121m. Great Southern said all but one of the 19 holes recorded mineralised intercepts above 0.7 g/t gold, although the reported intervals are downhole widths and their true widths have not yet been confirmed.
Drilling tests a 3.5km mineralised trend
The assays cover only the northern 450m of Golden Boulder’s 3.5km Main Line trend. Results have extended mineralisation by up to 45m down dip, supporting the company’s stated aim of testing whether the multiple lodes continue along strike and into fresh rock. Drilling remains shallow, with few holes extending beyond 150m below surface.
That leaves a substantial amount of information still to come. Assays have been received for 2,436m of a planned 14,000m Golden Boulder RC campaign, while another 5,428m is awaiting results. The 48 completed holes still pending were drilled further south along the Main Line and across the Eastern Line, where Great Southern is testing whether the mineralised system holds together beyond the initial northern results.
Golden Boulder sits on the same interpreted structure as Regis Resources’ Rosemont deposit, which has reported mineralisation extending more than 700m below surface. Great Southern also points to the discovery’s location 26km from Rosemont, 14km from Regis’ Garden Well Project and within 20km of operating gold processing facilities. Those are useful infrastructure and geological reference points, but they do not yet establish a resource or demonstrate economic viability at Golden Boulder.
Amy Clarke assays add a second near-term catalyst
Attention will also turn to Amy Clarke, another Duketon discovery located 3km north-east of Golden Boulder. Great Southern has completed 18 holes in the first RC program there, with assays pending across 2,248m. Amy Clarke currently has a defined mineralised strike of 4.7km, giving the company a second nearby area from which to test the scale of its Duketon landholding.
At this stage, the release is evidence of encouraging continuity and grade in an early exploration program rather than a development milestone. The next meaningful test will be whether the remaining Golden Boulder assays confirm consistent lodes along the broader trend, and whether Amy Clarke can produce comparable results rather than merely extend the exploration narrative.
