Tambourah Gold Drilling Builds Momentum Towards First Resource
Tambourah Metals has tightened drilling across its Tambourah King gold lode, returning several encouraging intersections ahead of a planned maiden resource estimate. Shallow results at Western Chief add a second exploration thread, although the system remains lightly tested at depth.

Tambourah King Drilling Tightens the Resource Picture
Tambourah Metals Ltd (ASX:TMB) has produced the kind of drilling result that matters most at an exploration project approaching its first resource estimate: tighter spacing and geological continuity, rather than a single spectacular headline hit. Its 17-hole, 2,292-metre reverse-circulation program at the Tambourah Gold Project in Western Australia included 4 metres at 3.59g/t Au from 109 metres in hole TBRC26030, with a 1-metre section grading 8.53g/t.
The company drilled 11 infill holes across the Tambourah King mineralised lode over 200 metres of strike. Seven intersected the targeted lode position, with additional results of 1 metre at 5.15g/t from 88 metres, 3 metres at 1.33g/t from 27 metres and 3 metres at 1.81g/t from 123 metres. The work reduced drill spacing to 20-30 metres and is intended to support a planned maiden resource estimate for Tambourah King.
Western Chief Adds Shallow Gold Intersections
Six holes also tested the Western Chief line of workings over 200 metres of strike. The strongest results were shallow: 3 metres at 5.88g/t Au from 39 metres in TBRC26008 and 3 metres at 4.33g/t from 33 metres in TBRC26010. Further intersections included 3 metres at 1.16g/t from 54 metres and 3 metres at 1.33g/t from 75 metres.
Tambourah said drilling has now targeted the Western Chief line over 380 metres of strike, but the host structure remains poorly tested below 50 metres vertical depth. That leaves an obvious gap in the current picture, while the nearby Western Queen prospect is located about 100 metres west of Tambourah King.
Exploration Results Still Carry Important Limitations
The reported intervals are downhole lengths, not confirmed true widths. Tambourah estimates true thickness at roughly 50-60% of downhole length because the lodes are interpreted to dip steeply or sub-vertically. The company also notes possible coarse gold in the Tambourah lode system and says the suitability of sample size for the gold grain distribution is not yet known.
Those qualifications matter before the results are translated into tonnes, grade or project economics. The company’s JORC commentary says geological and grade continuity has not yet been established to the level required for mineral resource estimation, so the planned resource remains a future milestone rather than an outcome of this announcement.
Bryah Assays and Diamond Drilling Form the Next Tests
Tambourah is also awaiting assays from aircore and RC drilling at the Bryah Gold Project, including Beatty Park South, T2, West Harmony and Baxter South. A five-hole diamond program has commenced at Beatty Park South to test the gold system beneath shallow, high-grade aircore intersections, backed by an EIS co-funded drilling grant of up to $180,000. The company says the resulting geological and structural data will guide follow-up and extensional drilling.
