ACDC Metals clears Nevada permit hurdle for Mount Jackson drilling
ACDC Metals has secured Bureau of Land Management approval for a 15-hole exploration program and a 12 line-kilometre geophysical survey at its Mount Jackson project in Nevada. Field activity is expected to begin in October, with drilling targeted for the fourth quarter of 2026.
- BLM approval received for CSAMT survey and drilling
- 15 holes permitted across the Pegasus and 3 Shaft zones
- 12 line-kilometre CSAMT survey scheduled for October
- Up to 2,500 metres of RC drilling targeted for Q4 2026
- Reclamation bond must be lodged before field work begins
BLM approval unlocks Mount Jackson field program
ACDC Metals Limited (ASX:ADC) has cleared the main permitting hurdle for its Mount Jackson gold-silver project in Nevada, receiving Bureau of Land Management approval for a geophysical survey and a 15-hole drilling campaign. The approval allows the company to move from target generation towards field testing, although it has not produced a mineral resource or new exploration result.
The company must first lodge a reclamation bond with the BLM before field activities can begin. ACDC said existing access tracks and drill pads from previous work can be used, which should reduce the civil work required and limit additional disturbance. A civil contractor is expected to begin preparing access tracks and drill pads in October.
CSAMT survey to refine gold and copper targets
KLM Geoscience has been engaged to complete 12 line-kilometres of Controlled Source Audio Magnetotellurics, or CSAMT, across the Pegasus gold-silver zone and the 3 Shaft copper targets. The survey is scheduled to begin in October and will be used to refine targets generated by ACDC’s aeromagnetic and radiometric work reported on 22 July.
The sequence matters because the company intends to use the CSAMT interpretation to sharpen the position of its drill holes before the rig arrives. ACDC chief executive Tom Davidson described the BLM approval as a “key milestone” and said the survey would sharpen targets from the earlier geophysical program.
15 permitted holes support maiden drilling campaign
The permitted drilling will test extensions to known mineralisation at Pegasus and provide maiden holes at the 3 Shaft zone. The broader program, contracted with FTE Drilling USA Inc., covers up to 2,500 metres of reverse-circulation drilling, with completion targeted during calendar 2026 and commencement planned for the fourth quarter.
ACDC said the campaign will build on historical results reported on 30 April, with the stated aims of confirming previous mineralisation, testing its extent and improving the company’s understanding of the system. Those objectives remain exploration targets: the company cautioned that planned work is conceptual and may not result in a mineral resource discovery.
Bottom Line?
The permit converts Mount Jackson from a planned program into an executable one, but the next value-bearing milestones are the reclamation bond, CSAMT interpretation and actual drill results.
Questions in the middle?
- When will ACDC lodge the reclamation bond and start the approved field work?
- Will the CSAMT survey materially change the planned drill targets or hole allocation?
- Can the Q4 drilling confirm mineralisation at Pegasus and establish a meaningful system at 3 Shaft?
