Regener8 Resources has identified three large, coherent silver-lead-zinc-antimony soil anomalies at its Srebrenica North project in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The results give the explorer a sharper target ahead of follow-up geophysics and potential drilling, although the project remains at an early exploration stage.
- Three coherent soil anomalies identified at Chaush and Zanik
- Peak soil results of 15.3g/t silver and 6,517ppm combined zinc and lead
- FY2026 net loss narrowed to A$816,165
- Cash increased to A$1.93 million after A$2.22 million in capital raisings
- Kookynie sale could deliver up to A$2.5 million, subject to conditions
Three Soil Anomalies Recast Srebrenica North
Regener8 Resources NL (ASX:R8R) has found three sizeable, coherent polymetallic soil anomalies at its newly acquired Srebrenica North project in Bosnia and Herzegovina, giving the junior explorer its clearest near-term exploration targets. The anomalies occur across the Chaush and Zanik prospects and contain correlated silver, lead, zinc and antimony values.
The largest anomaly at Chaush measures approximately 1,050 metres by 350 metres and remains open to the north-west, along strike from Mineco’s operating Sase silver-lead-zinc mine. Zanik South covers about 700 metres by 450 metres and is open to the south near historical workings, while Zanik North measures roughly 700 metres by 200 metres. Peak soil results reached 15.3 grams per tonne of silver, 397 parts per million antimony and 6,517 parts per million combined zinc and lead.
The results came from assays received after the 30 June reporting date for 198 soil samples and 10 control samples. They follow a 208-sample Phase 1 program completed in June across the Dolovi tenement, designed to establish the first modern, systematic geochemical dataset over ground that contains medieval workings and had seen little modern exploration for more than five decades.
Follow-Up Work Moves Towards Drill Targets
Regener8 has already moved into the next stage of work. Phase 2 and Phase 3 soil sampling and ground magnetics began in August, with Phase 4 scheduled to follow. The broader program also includes stream sediment sampling, geological mapping, and rock-chip and channel sampling across historical adits, shafts, workings and slag heaps.
Management intends to use the results to rank targets for detailed geophysics and first-pass drilling. That is an important distinction: the anomalies are exploration indicators, not a mineral resource, reserve or demonstration of economic viability. Historical grab samples at Zanik returned values as high as 412g/t silver, 21.9% lead, 7.3% zinc and 0.9% antimony, but those results came from selected historical material and cannot be treated as representative of the broader project.
Capital and Portfolio Shift Support Bosnia Focus
The annual report shows Regener8 ended FY2026 with A$1.93 million in cash, up from A$585,962 a year earlier, after raising A$2.215 million through a placement and entitlement offer. The company still reported a net loss of A$816,165, although that was materially below the A$2.22 million loss recorded in FY2025, while operating cash outflow increased to A$576,447.
The portfolio is being narrowed around Srebrenica North. Regener8 agreed after year end to sell its Kookynie Gold Project to GoldArc Resources (ASX:GA8) for A$1.5 million in shares plus up to A$1 million in contingent consideration linked to future resource milestones. Completion remains subject to conditions including GoldArc shareholder and regulatory approvals. Regener8 also appointed Dave Malesic as managing director and chief executive officer from 1 September, replacing Stephen Foley after the leadership transition.
The immediate test is whether the three anomalies can survive the less forgiving stages of exploration: tighter geochemical definition, geophysical targeting and drilling. With A$720,919 of commitments due within one year and no operating revenue, the company has some funding capacity but remains dependent on exploration results, the Kookynie transaction and future capital discipline to keep the Bosnia strategy moving.
Bottom Line?
Srebrenica now has three defined targets, but the investment case still depends on converting soil chemistry into drill results without exhausting the company’s funding runway.
Questions in the middle?
- Will follow-up geophysics confirm structures capable of hosting substantial mineralisation beneath the three soil anomalies?
- When will Regener8 commit to first-pass drilling, and how many targets can its current funding support?
- Will the GoldArc transaction complete on schedule and provide the expected A$1.5 million in shares plus contingent upside?
