Many Peaks Finds Broad Gold Extension Beneath Ferké Resource
Many Peaks Minerals has reported a 188.9-metre gold intercept beneath the Ouarigue resource at its Ferké project in Côte d’Ivoire, including 46.75 metres at 7.02g/t and a narrow 109.8g/t interval. The results will feed into a resource update now under way, while regional drilling has opened additional targets south of Ouarigue.
- 188.9m at 3.58g/t gold from 633m in diamond hole FNDC166
- 46.75m at 7.02g/t, including 1.85m at 109.8g/t
- Mineralisation extended beneath the existing 1.323Moz Ouarigue resource
- Regional drilling identified shallow targets up to 3km south
- Updated Mineral Resource Estimate and development studies now progressing

Broad Intercept Extends Ouarigue at Depth
Many Peaks Minerals Limited (ASX:MPK) has produced one of its most substantial drill intersections yet at the Ferké Gold Project, with hole FNDC166 returning 188.9 metres at 3.58g/t gold from 633 metres downhole beneath the existing Ouarigue Mineral Resource. The interval has an estimated true width of 95.3 metres and includes 46.75 metres at 7.02g/t, with a 1.85-metre section grading 109.8g/t.
The broad result is not a single uninterrupted high-grade zone. Many Peaks says it contains lower-grade material separating four higher-grade sections, including intervals of 37 metres at 4.34g/t, 10.9 metres at 4.74g/t, 38.8 metres at 3.27g/t and the 46.75-metre zone at 7.02g/t. The company has presented the composite as relevant to bulk-tonnage development options, while the separate higher-grade zones will be important to geological modelling.
The new drilling adds to a run of deep results at Ouarigue. The latest release follows the September depth extension drilling, which tested mineralisation beyond 900 metres of vertical depth and included a 116-metre interval at 2.78g/t. In the current announcement, wedge hole FN135W01 returned 59.2 metres at 2.30g/t from 556.8 metres, including 34.2 metres at 3.34g/t and a four-metre section at 20.8g/t.
Resource Update Reaches Data Cut-Off
These results are now part of the dataset for Many Peaks’ planned Mineral Resource Estimate update. The current Ouarigue resource stands at 26.7 million tonnes at 1.54g/t gold for 1.323 million ounces, but the company cautions that the new drilling will not necessarily increase the resource or upgrade its classification. Geological modelling and estimation work are under way, with completion targeted for the current quarter.
That distinction matters. The reported intersections are primarily downhole lengths, with true widths estimated only where the geometry is sufficiently understood. At depth, the economic parameters for any future underground resource have not yet been determined. Many Peaks is advancing pre-feasibility-level open-pit work while reviewing an integrated economic assessment that includes a scoping-level evaluation of underground options.
Regional Targets Add Exploration Upside
The exploration story is not confined to the existing resource. Thirty-one reconnaissance reverse-circulation holes totalling 3,350 metres, drilled on 200-metre-spaced lines about 3km south of Ouarigue, returned shallow results including 9 metres at 4.33g/t in FNRC285 and separate intervals of 3 metres at 3.78g/t and 2 metres at 12.6g/t in FNRC286. The intersections define a prospective trend extending about 1km, but the company says further drilling is required to establish continuity, geometry and scale.
Seven additional RC holes along the northern and southern margins of Ouarigue also intersected mineralisation, including 4 metres at 3.75g/t and 6 metres at 2.22g/t. Assays remain outstanding for 25 Ouarigue holes and three regional reconnaissance holes, while Many Peaks expects further drilling along the wider 37km Leraba trend to begin in the coming month. The company is targeting 60,000 metres of diamond, RC and air-core drilling across Côte d’Ivoire by year-end.
Bottom Line?
The immediate test is no longer whether Ouarigue continues at depth, but how much of that continuity can survive resource modelling and economic scrutiny in the coming MRE and study work.
Questions in the middle?
- How will the updated Mineral Resource Estimate change Ouarigue’s tonnes, grade, ounces and classification?
- Can the broad deep mineralisation support an underground development case once mining and economic parameters are applied?
- Will follow-up drilling connect the shallow southern intercepts into a coherent new resource zone?
