White Cliff finds a new copper-bearing structure beside Danvers 1
White Cliff Minerals has identified copper sulphides on a previously untested parallel structure mapped over 2.8km at its Rae Copper Project. Sulphides also appeared in all three northeast infill holes, but laboratory assays remain six to eight weeks away.
- Copper sulphides observed from 16m downhole in new hole DAN26053
- Untested parallel structure mapped over 2.8km east of Danvers 1
- Sulphides logged in all three northeast infill holes
- Danvers 1 mineralised footprint now extends over 2.3km to the northeast
- Assays expected in six to eight weeks

New Parallel Structure Opens Danvers Exploration Front
White Cliff Minerals Limited (ASX:WCN) has opened a new exploration front at Danvers 1 after its first drill hole into a previously untested parallel structure intersected copper sulphides from 16 metres downhole. The structure sits less than 200 metres east of the main Danvers 1 trend and has been mapped for more than 2.8 kilometres.
Hole DAN26053 returned multiple zones of chalcocite and chalcopyrite-bearing veins and breccias, with a total 28.52 metres of observed copper sulphides. White Cliff says the structure joins the main Danvers 1 northeast trend about 480 metres northeast of the hole and continues southwest for another 2.3 kilometres, creating scope for further step-out drilling.
Northeast Drilling Adds Continuity, Not Yet Grades
The new discovery arrived alongside further evidence of continuity along the Danvers 1 northeast extension. All three latest infill holes intersected copper sulphides across a combined 1,397 metres of lateral strike: DAN26051 recorded 43.68 metres of visual sulphides, DAN26055 recorded 165.67 metres and DAN26057 recorded 94.50 metres.
The drilling filled gaps in an earlier program where holes were more than 650 metres apart and extended the interpreted mineralised footprint more than 2.3 kilometres northeast of the core Danvers 1 mineralisation. That follows the Danvers depth extension, where White Cliff reported a 76.5-metre assay intercept at 2.01% copper, although the latest intervals remain visual observations rather than laboratory results.
That distinction matters. The company explicitly warns that visual estimates of mineral abundance are not a substitute for assays, and the reported intervals are downhole lengths with true widths not yet known. Laboratory results for DAN26051, DAN26053, DAN26055 and DAN26057 are expected in six to eight weeks. Until then, the release supports a geological interpretation of scale and continuity, but does not establish copper grades or a resource estimate.
Geophysics Expands the Rae Target Pipeline
White Cliff is also running a high-resolution airborne magnetic, gravity and radiometric survey across 72 kilometres of the Rae Group sediments and the Thor and Rocket targets. The company says Danvers drilling has linked copper mineralisation to linear magnetic lows, giving the survey a targeting framework beyond the immediate discovery.
Till sampling is planned at Thor and Rocket, where earlier surface work identified high-grade vein and breccia systems. Drilling continues across the Danvers 1 northeast trend and the Danvers 2 and 3 areas, with the current campaign intended to support an Exploration Target and eventually a maiden Mineral Resource Estimate.
Bottom Line?
The next meaningful test is not the length of the visual sulphide intervals but the pending assays, true-width interpretation and whether follow-up drilling can turn the 2.8km structure into a coherent mineralised body.
Questions in the middle?
- Will laboratory assays confirm that the broad visual sulphide intervals carry the grades indicated by earlier Danvers results?
- How much of the reported downhole length represents true mineralised width at the steeply dipping structures?
- Can follow-up drilling connect the new parallel structure with Danvers 1 and support an Exploration Target or maiden resource?
