NMR’s Blackjack clears 6,000oz as weekly doré output surges
Native Mineral Resources has surpassed 6,000oz of refined gold production at Blackjack, while its latest weekly smelt produced 527.6oz of doré. October’s record ambitions now depend on Perth Mint results and two remaining smelts.
- 6,048.3oz of refined gold produced at Blackjack since July 2025
- Latest smelt produced 527.6oz of gross doré, up 78% week on week
- Gravity circuit contributed a 162.2oz doré bar
- October gross doré production has reached 824.2oz
- Two October smelts remain, with refinery results pending

Blackjack clears 6,000oz refined gold milestone
Native Mineral Resources Holdings Limited (ASX:NMR) has passed 6,000oz of refined gold production at its Blackjack Gold Operations near Charters Towers, Queensland, reaching 6,048.3oz since production began in July 2025. More than half of that total has been produced since the start of June 2026, pointing to a markedly stronger recent run than the operation’s early months.
The milestone arrives alongside a sharp lift in weekly doré output. Blackjack’s 13 October smelt produced three bars weighing 527.6oz in total, up 78% from the previous week’s 296.6oz and the largest weekly smelt by gross doré weight since 18 August. The result follows the operation’s stronger Q3 Blackjack performance, when refined gold outturn rose 84% quarter on quarter to approximately 2,331oz.
Gravity circuit delivers a larger doré bar
The latest production comprised two bars from the elution circuit, weighing 312.9oz and 52.5oz, plus a 162.2oz bar from the gravity circuit. That gravity bar was roughly three times the 53.9oz gravity bar produced in the preceding week. Perth Mint has not yet completed the assay and refining process, so the 527.6oz figure is a gross doré weight rather than a confirmed quantity of saleable gold.
Perth Mint has confirmed 155.7oz of refined gold and 88.2oz of refined silver from the 6 October smelt. The three bars had a combined gross doré weight of 296.6oz and an official refinery weight of 293.9oz, with average assays of 52.99% gold and 30.03% silver. Including the latest confirmed results, Blackjack has produced 16,218.4oz of gross doré and 15,461.5oz of official refinery weight since commissioning, returning 6,973.8oz of refined silver alongside its gold.
October target depends on pending refinery results
October gross doré production now stands at 824.2oz from two weekly smelts. Confirmed refined gold outturn is currently only 155.7oz because the latest 527.6oz of doré has yet to be processed by Perth Mint. Two further smelts are scheduled this month, and NMR is targeting more than the 1,080.5oz of refined gold produced in August, its current monthly record.
That target remains conditional rather than assured: October’s final result will depend on the doré produced in the remaining smelts and the refinery outturn from all outstanding bars. The immediate test is whether the larger weekly pour can translate into confirmed refined gold and whether the plant can maintain the regular smelt cycle management says it is seeking through the December quarter.
Bottom Line?
The 6,000oz milestone is established, but October’s stronger production signal still needs to survive Perth Mint assay and two more smelts.
Questions in the middle?
- How much refined gold will Perth Mint recover from the 527.6oz October smelt?
- Can the Blackjack plant sustain weekly smelts at the higher recent rate through the December quarter?
- Will the two remaining October smelts be enough to push monthly refined gold above August’s 1,080.5oz record?
