Titomic sharpens global structure with A$3 million savings target

Advanced Manufacturing By Victor Sage 2 min read

Titomic will restructure its Australian and US operations and reduce consultant spending, targeting A$3.0 million in annualised operating cost savings. The company expects to complete the changes by October’s end while repositioning Australia as its global research and development centre.

  • A$3.0 million targeted annualised operating cost savings
  • A$0.6 million estimated implementation costs
  • Australian operations to become global R&D centre
  • Restructure expected to finish by end of October
  • Cash flow break-even target remains during 2027

Titomic Targets A$3 Million in Recurring Savings

Titomic Limited (ASX:TTT) is cutting costs across Australia, the United States and Europe in a restructure designed to reduce annual operating expenses by A$3.0 million. The changes will affect Australian sales, marketing and production support roles, selected US positions unrelated to programs, and consultant spending across the three regions.

The company expects the restructure to be completed by the end of October. It estimates implementation costs of A$0.6 million, covering notice and redundancy payments along with other associated expenses.

Australia Retains Research and Development Role

Despite the reductions, Titomic said Australia would remain its global research and development centre of excellence. The Australian operation will lead development of the company’s Titomic Kinetic Fusion cold spray technology and its applications across international markets.

That creates a sharper division between development and commercial execution: Australia is being positioned around technology and applications, while the restructure also targets sales, marketing and production support costs. The announcement does not disclose how many roles will be affected, how savings will be divided by region, or whether the changes will alter near-term production capacity.

Savings Linked to 2027 Cash Flow Break-Even

Executive Chair Dag Stromme said the changes were intended to support “disciplined cost management” as Titomic accelerates commercial development. He linked the expected savings to the company’s stated objective of achieving cash flow break-even during 2027, although the release provides no updated cash balance, cash burn figure or revenue guidance.

The immediate test is execution. Titomic will need to absorb the A$0.6 million implementation bill, complete the workforce and consultant changes on schedule, and demonstrate that the targeted annualised savings are achieved without slowing the research and commercial work underpinning its expansion.

Bottom Line?

The restructure improves Titomic’s targeted cost base, but the 2027 break-even goal still depends on savings being realised alongside continued commercial progress.

Questions in the middle?

  • How much of the A$3.0 million target will flow through to quarterly cash consumption once the restructure is complete?
  • Will the changes affect Titomic’s ability to convert its cold spray technology into commercial programs?
  • What revenue growth and cash-flow assumptions underpin the 2027 break-even target?
