Adavale’s A$4.65 million raise puts Parkes gold on a faster development track

Mining By Maxwell Dee 3 min read

Adavale Resources has secured A$4.65 million in placement funding to expand its Parkes gold resources, advance exploration and complete a Scoping Study expected in November. The raising comes as the company reports a 383koz gold inventory assembled over the past 20 months.

  • A$4.65 million placement at A$0.03 per share
  • Up to 155 million new shares across two tranches
  • Directors and management to subscribe for A$120,000 subject to approval
  • Funds directed to drilling, metallurgy, geophysics and the Parkes Scoping Study
  • 383koz reported gold inventory across the Parkes Project

A$4.65 Million Placement Backs Parkes Expansion

Adavale Resources Limited (ASX:ADD) has secured firm commitments for a A$4.65 million placement at A$0.03 per share, giving the company fresh capital to push its Parkes Project from resource growth towards development studies. The placement will issue up to 155 million fully paid ordinary shares, before costs, and was supported by existing shareholders, new strategic investors and the company’s cornerstone investor, according to Adavale.

The issue price represents an 11.8% discount to Adavale’s 19 October closing price of A$0.034, as well as discounts of 12.3% to its five-day VWAP and 17.0% to its 10-day VWAP. Directors and management have committed a further A$120,000 for 4 million shares, although that participation, along with the balance of the placement, requires shareholder approval at the expected late-November annual general meeting.

383koz Inventory Sets the Funding Target

The capital arrives after Adavale’s reported Parkes gold inventory rose from zero in January 2025 to 383koz, including a 228% increase at London-Victoria to 263koz. Of that London-Victoria figure, 126koz is classified as Indicated. The company’s latest Parkes resource expansion followed an 85-hole drilling campaign and moved the project towards metallurgical work and a Scoping Study, although the filing does not disclose a production decision or project economics.

Adavale plans to direct the new funds towards resource expansion drilling at London-Victoria, Calarie and other near-mine prospects, with the stated aim of growing and upgrading the current 383koz Mineral Resource. It will also continue metallurgical test work on diamond core to assess ore types and recoveries, while undertaking high-resolution airborne geophysics to refine structural interpretation and drilling targets.

Scoping Study and Greenfields Drilling Next

The immediate development milestone is completion of the Parkes Scoping Study, expected in November 2026. Adavale says the study will assess pit design, project scale, recovery assumptions, permitting requirements and the possible inclusion of Calarie as supplementary ore feed. Those are study inputs rather than confirmed project outcomes, and the announcement does not provide an expected production rate, capital cost or operating estimate.

Part of the funding will also support first-pass drilling, geophysical surveys and surface sampling at the Ashes prospect and other greenfields targets. Adavale describes Ashes as a porphyry copper-gold target with high-tenor induced-polarisation chargeability anomalies and rock-chip results of up to 10.65 grams per tonne gold, 1.98% copper and 158 grams per tonne silver. The company has appointed Blue Ocean Equities as lead manager to the placement.

Tranche one comprises 91.48 million shares issued under Adavale’s available placement capacity, while the remaining shares, including the directors’ participation, are subject to shareholder approval. The next hard markers are therefore the initial share issue, the late-November vote and the November Scoping Study. For shareholders, the central question is whether the new capital can convert a rapidly assembled resource base into a development case with enough technical and economic detail to justify the next stage.

Bottom Line?

The placement funds Adavale’s move from resource-building to project definition, but the November Scoping Study and subsequent drilling will need to establish whether the 383koz inventory can support a credible development pathway.

Questions in the middle?

  • What project scale, recovery assumptions and capital requirements will the November Scoping Study identify?
  • How much additional gold can drilling add or upgrade at London-Victoria, Calarie and the near-mine satellite prospects?
  • Will shareholders approve the second tranche and the A$120,000 director and management participation at the late-November AGM?
