Proteomics International takes Promarker tests nationwide through Healius

Proteomics International will take Promarker D and Promarker Eso nationwide through Healius from 26 October, extending its first commercial release beyond Western Australia and the Northern Territory. The tests will initially be offered privately at $495 and $997, while revenue remains too uncertain to forecast.

  • National rollout scheduled for 26 October 2026
  • Promarker D priced at $495 and Promarker Eso at $997
  • Healius collection centres to handle blood collection and payment
  • Promarker Endo targeted for commercial release in January to March 2027
  • Revenue cannot yet be reliably estimated

Promarker Tests Move to National Rollout

Proteomics International Laboratories Ltd (ASX:PIQ) is moving its Promarker D and Promarker Eso blood tests from a controlled regional release to a national launch, with Healius Limited (ASX:HLS) scheduled to begin accepting patients across its Australian pathology network on 26 October 2026. The expansion gives the tests a much wider route to clinicians and patients, but it is still a launch milestone rather than evidence of established commercial demand.

The rollout follows the first controlled Promarker release through Healius in Western Australia and the Northern Territory. Proteomics says field sales teams have now completed training, while the two companies have agreed joint sales and marketing plans focused on clinician education, appropriate referrals and patient access.

Private-Pay Prices Set at $495 and $997

Patients will initially pay privately for the tests, at $495 for Promarker D and $997 for Promarker Eso. Healius collection centres are expected to manage blood collection and payment, while Proteomics will continue laboratory testing at its NATA-accredited facility and provide clinical reporting, scientific and medical support, and quality and regulatory oversight.

That division of labour puts the immediate commercial test on access and utilisation. Healius brings its national collection infrastructure and clinician relationships; Proteomics retains responsibility for the specialist diagnostic work. The filing does not provide a forecast for patient volumes or revenue, stating that outcomes under the distribution agreement cannot yet be reliably estimated.

Promarker Endo Targeted for Early 2027

The national operating model is also intended to prepare the way for Promarker Endo, Proteomics’ blood test for endometriosis. The company expects commercial availability in FY27 Q3, covering January to March 2027, subject to clinical deployment and applicable quality, accreditation and regulatory requirements.

Proteomics says it has completed refinement and independent validation of the model underpinning Promarker Endo. The next useful evidence will be operational rather than promotional: whether the October rollout happens on schedule, whether clinicians refer patients at meaningful levels, and whether private-pay demand begins to translate into revenue before the planned Endo launch.

Bottom Line?

The national launch removes a distribution barrier, but the investment case now depends on real-world referrals, paid test volumes and progress toward Promarker Endo without a reliable revenue forecast yet.

Questions in the middle?

  • How many patients will use Promarker D and Promarker Eso once nationwide access begins?
  • Will private-pay pricing support sustained clinician referrals and patient uptake?
  • Can Proteomics meet the January to March 2027 target for Promarker Endo while satisfying deployment, accreditation and regulatory requirements?
