Antipa Minerals has returned a 22-metre gold interval grading 8.2 grams per tonne at its Minyari deposit, including 5.1 metres at 27.4 grams per tonne. The latest assays also extend mineralisation at GEO-01, WACA, Rizzo, Tim’s Dome and Chicken Ranch as drilling continues across the project.
- 22m at 8.2g/t gold from 100m at Minyari, including 5.1m at 27.4g/t
- Mineralisation extended at GEO-01 Main Zone, WACA and Rizzo
- Tim’s Dome assays returned gold-copper-lead-silver zones above a 1.2km AEM conductor
- Chicken Ranch delivered 14m at 2.1g/t gold from 40m
- 330 Phase 1 holes completed for 42,248m, with further assays pending
High-grade gold emerges from previously unsampled Minyari core
The most striking result in Antipa Minerals Ltd’s (ASX:AZY) latest drilling batch was not a fresh discovery, but a newly assayed section of existing core. Sampling of previously unsampled intervals from a 2025 diamond hole at the Minyari deposit returned 22 metres at 8.2 grams per tonne gold from 100 metres, including 5.1 metres at 27.4 grams per tonne.
The same interval also carried 0.35% cobalt, rising to 1.04% cobalt across the high-grade 5.1-metre section. Antipa said the result confirms a shallow, north-plunging high-grade gold shoot identified by nearby drilling, although the reported lengths are down-hole intervals and true widths are not always known. A maximum individual one-metre result from the Batch 5 Minyari Dome drilling reached 82.2 grams per tonne gold, alongside 2.91% copper and 39.8 grams per tonne silver.
Extensions add to Minyari Dome resource-growth case
The batch also pushed mineralisation beyond currently defined zones at several Minyari Dome prospects. GEO-01 Main Zone returned 26.6 metres at 1.4 grams per tonne gold from 640.4 metres, including 9.6 metres at 2.9 grams per tonne and a 2.4-metre section at 7.4 grams per tonne. Antipa said the intersection extends mineralisation about 230 metres down dip.
At WACA, diamond drilling intersected 44 metres at 0.5 grams per tonne gold from 386 metres, including 21 metres at 0.8 grams per tonne, extending the mineralised zone approximately 80 metres down plunge. Rizzo produced a series of gold-copper intersections, including 12 metres at 1.3 grams per tonne gold and 0.35% copper from 70 metres, with the mineralisation remaining open.
Those results arrive as the company advances a pre-feasibility study on Minyari Dome, which hosts a reported 2.5 million-ounce gold Mineral Resource including copper, silver and cobalt. The study is being developed alongside the company’s preferred gold-and-copper processing route, which was covered in the Minyari processing route earlier this week. The drilling results may support further resource-growth work, but they do not by themselves change the current Mineral Resource estimate.
Tim’s Dome assays test the ground above a deep conductor
At Tim’s Dome, Batch 5 results identified gold-copper-lead-silver mineralisation across roughly 600 metres of strike above and adjacent to a 1.2-kilometre-long airborne electromagnetic conductor. Notable intersections included 9 metres at 1.5 grams per tonne gold, 0.11% copper and 0.53% lead, while another hole returned 51 metres at 0.24% copper.
The results build on the Tim’s Dome mineralisation extension reported earlier, but the conductor itself remains untested and its geological significance has not been established. Two diamond holes have been completed and a third was nearing completion at the time of the announcement. The strongest one-metre result in this batch reached 10.1 grams per tonne gold, 2.51% copper, 1.47% lead and 6.43 grams per tonne silver.
Chicken Ranch opens shallow targets outside existing resource
Chicken Ranch added a shallower exploration angle, with air core drilling east of the existing resource corridor returning 14 metres at 2.1 grams per tonne gold from 40 metres, including 2 metres at 13.0 grams per tonne and a one-metre peak of 18.7 grams per tonne. Antipa said the new zones remain open along strike and down dip, while assays from a further eight air core holes were still outstanding.
Across the broader Phase 1 programme, Antipa reported 330 holes completed for 42,248 metres, comprising RC, air core and diamond drilling. Air core work has finished, RC drilling has recently begun at AL01 and diamond drilling remains active at Tim’s Dome. The next test is whether these extensions can be converted into coherent resource additions rather than remaining a collection of encouraging intercepts.
Bottom Line?
The results strengthen Antipa’s resource-growth narrative, but the key value test now shifts to Tim’s Dome conductor drilling, pending assays and any eventual update to the Minyari resource or PFS.
Questions in the middle?
- Will diamond drilling confirm that the Tim’s Dome AEM conductor represents a significant mineralised system?
- How much of the GEO-01, WACA and Rizzo extension drilling can be incorporated into a future Mineral Resource estimate?
- Can Chicken Ranch’s shallow high-grade zones develop into a meaningful satellite resource beyond the existing corridor?
