Rights Issue Raises A$1.5 Million
Flynn Gold Limited (ASX:FG1) has completed the capital raising that will fund its next round of Tasmanian exploration, securing A$1.5 million before costs. The result confirms the minimum amount previously underwritten after the company’s September rights issue sought up to approximately A$3.04 million.
Shareholders took up A$621,429 of the offer, while shortfall applications contributed a further A$878,571. That split means more money came from shortfall demand than from direct rights subscriptions, although the announcement does not identify the investors who filled the shortfall.
Nearly 100 Million Shares Added
Flynn Gold will issue 99,999,998 new fully paid ordinary shares, alongside 50,000,032 options exercisable at A$0.03 for 30 months. A further 2,114,059 options will go to lead manager and underwriter Mahe Capital, taking the total new option issue above 52 million.
The new shares represent a substantial expansion of the company’s existing register, while the options create a potential future source of equity if exercised. The options are expected to be quoted on the ASX shortly, but the announcement does not provide an updated post-issue capital structure or detail the extent of individual director participation beyond confirming that the board took part.
Firetower and Golden Ridge Set for Resource Work

Flynn Gold said the net proceeds will support a mineral resource estimate at the Firetower Gold-Tungsten Project and continued resource definition at Golden Ridge in northeast Tasmania. The company’s Firetower drill results had previously identified multiple gold, tungsten, copper and cobalt mineralised zones, with resource modelling and metallurgical work planned.
The immediate test is whether the new capital can convert exploration activity into defined resources at both projects. Investors will need to weigh that operational opportunity against the enlarged share count, the future dilution potential from the options and the fact that the final raise was materially below the maximum amount originally targeted.
Bottom Line?
Flynn Gold now has funding for defined resource work, but the next value test is delivery at Firetower and Golden Ridge against a larger capital structure.
Questions in the middle?
- When will Flynn Gold publish the updated mineral resource estimate for Firetower?
- How much resource definition work at Golden Ridge can the A$1.5 million fund?
- How many of the new A$0.03 options could ultimately convert into further equity?
