Weight Management Supplies the Quarter’s Growth
Doctor Care Anywhere Group PLC (ASX:DOC) added £1.5 million of weight-management revenue in its first full quarter inside the group, taking third-quarter revenue to £11.3 million, up 16% from a year earlier. The rest of the business generated £9.8 million, broadly level with Q3 2025, making the newly acquired operation the clear source of reported top-line growth.
The result marks the first substantial quarterly read-through from the company’s move into UK weight management. DCA Medicspot generated £1.5 million in the quarter, compared with £0.9 million during the 54 days after its acquisition on 8 May. That contribution represented 13% of group revenue. The transaction had been part of the company’s weight-management acquisition, which added a direct-to-consumer platform focused on GLP-1 and medicated weight loss.
Subscriptions Become a Larger Revenue Channel
Subscription revenue, including weight management, rose to £2.2 million from £0.7 million in Q3 2025. It accounted for 19% of group revenue, up from 8% a year earlier and 11% in the first half of 2026. DCA Medicspot supplied £1.5 million of the latest subscription revenue, leaving the rest of the group’s subscription contribution at £0.7 million.
Core activity was steadier rather than spectacular. Consultations increased 2.6% to 174,440, while repeat patients represented 74% of consultations. The figures suggest a growing revenue mix without a corresponding acceleration across the established consultation business, although the announcement does not provide quarterly profit, margin or detailed cash-flow figures.
Partnership Pipeline Expands Beyond Direct Patients
DCA added three distribution partnerships since July. Ramsay Health Care UK will offer self-pay online GP appointments to its patients, with referrals onward to Ramsay hospitals and specialists. Since quarter-end, employee-benefits platform Rippl and loyalty platform Live Like Loyalty have added distribution channels for DCA Weight Management, with the latter extending access to members and up to five friends and family.
The Ramsay relationship was first announced alongside the company’s Ramsay Health Care partnership, while the two employee-benefits arrangements were announced after the reporting period. Their eventual commercial contribution is not quantified in the update, so the immediate significance is pipeline rather than booked revenue.
Cash Rises as Investors Prepare for Roadshow
Cash at bank stood at £8.3 million on 30 September, compared with £7.7 million at the end of June. DCA said the increase reflected ongoing monthly free cash flow as well as a £0.5 million payment received in advance, a distinction that matters when assessing how much of the movement represents recurring cash generation.
Lisa Barter became permanent chief financial officer on 1 October after serving as interim CFO. Chief executive Laura O’Riordan and non-executive director David Ravech are due to meet investors in Sydney and Melbourne in November, with a presentation based on the company’s recent strategy and business-model update and this trading report. The next quarterly figures will need to show whether weight management can continue expanding without the underlying telehealth business losing momentum.
Bottom Line?
The key test is whether weight management becomes a durable subscription engine, rather than a one-quarter lift over a largely flat core business.
Questions in the middle?
- Can DCA Medicspot sustain or increase its £1.5 million quarterly contribution as the acquisition anniversary approaches?
- What revenue and margin contribution will come from the Ramsay, Rippl and Live Like Loyalty partnerships?
- How much of the higher cash balance reflects repeatable free cash flow once the £0.5 million advance payment is excluded?
