$865,000 ARR and $3.8 million pipeline lift Identitii’s September update

Financial Technology By Victor Sage 4 min read

Identitii lifted annual recurring revenue 21% to $865,000 and expanded its sales pipeline 70% during the September quarter as new transaction-monitoring tools went live. But the fintech ended the period with negative cash of $44,000, leaving its near-term funding position dependent on further convertible-note proceeds and improved operating cash flow.

  • Annual recurring revenue rose 21% to $865,000
  • Sales pipeline increased 70% to $3.8 million
  • Transaction monitoring analysed more than 20 million EGM transactions
  • $2.6 million received under convertible security facility
  • Quarter-end cash was negative $44,000 after $714,000 operating outflow

BNDRY revenue and pipeline accelerate

Identitii Limited (ASX:ID8) is showing sharper commercial traction in its BNDRY financial-crime compliance platform, but the September quarter also laid bare the funding challenge facing the business. Annual recurring revenue rose 21% from the previous quarter to $865,000, while the prospective customer pipeline jumped 70% to $3.8 million.

Customer agreements increased 25% to 20, supporting more than 200 businesses across banking, payments and hospitality. Platform usage moved in the same direction: business entities served rose 60% to 200, compliance workflows climbed 48% to 32,500 and total entities increased 11% to 750,000. The figures indicate broader use of the platform, although the pipeline remains prospective rather than booked revenue.

Transaction monitoring reaches three gaming venues

Identitii’s first transaction-monitoring capability for Australian electronic gaming-machine venues went live during the quarter. The product brings machine activity, member play and ticket history together, with detection rules mapped to AUSTRAC financial-crime typologies.

Since launch, BNDRY has analysed more than 20 million electronic gaming-machine transactions representing $475 million in turnover across three live venues. One early customer reported a reduction of more than 95% in false positives, according to Identitii. The company says the billable capability is intended to win new customers and increase revenue from existing ones. Real-time identity verification, delivered through its ConnectID partnership, was also released during the period.

Convertible funding arrives as cash falls below zero

The commercial progress is accompanied by a fragile liquidity position. Identitii recorded $181,000 in customer receipts against $909,000 of payments to employees and suppliers, producing net operating cash outflow of $714,000. The company said its underlying quarterly operating cost remained broadly flat at $1.2 million, while the Appendix 4C showed cash and cash equivalents of negative $44,000 at 30 September, compared with $112,000 three months earlier.

Identitii has received $2.6 million of the $5 million guaranteed under its convertible security facility with The Blackstone Mercantile Group SAC, after shareholders approved the agreement. The company said $1 million of that amount was redirected to Fairfax Partners for investor-relations services, with the remaining $2.4 million expected before 30 November. The funding arrangement, including its dilution implications, was previously paired with convertible note options intended to partly offset the impact on existing shareholders.

The Appendix 4C calculated zero quarters of funding available at the reporting date. Management said it does not expect the current level of net operating cash outflow to continue, citing two consecutive quarters of 21% recurring-revenue growth and the expanding pipeline. That expectation still needs to translate into cash receipts, while the company’s access to the further $15 million available under the broader facility is separate from the guaranteed $5 million commitment.

Patent appeal continues alongside board and debt changes

There was no material change in Identitii’s patent infringement claim against JPMorgan Chase. Identitii has appealed the Delaware court’s dismissal to the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, while JPMorgan is seeking approximately US$4 million in fees by arguing the case should be declared exceptional. Identitii, its US counsel and its litigation funder dispute that application. The company said the fee motion does not affect the appeal and that BNDRY continues operating normally. The dispute had previously involved JPMorgan’s fee claim alongside the appeal.

David McCredie AM OBE joined the board as a non-executive director during the quarter, replacing Michael Kotowicz. Identitii also issued 199,406 shares at a deemed price of $0.6466 to partially settle the interest-free, unsecured Beauvais Capital loan, reducing the balance to $266,055.51. Cameron Beavis and related entities now hold 31.16% of the company, up three percentage points from six months earlier.

Bottom Line?

Identitii has made measurable progress in revenue, customer usage and product capability, but the next test is whether that momentum can reduce cash burn before further funding and dilution become central to the story.

Questions in the middle?

  • Will the remaining $2.4 million under the guaranteed convertible funding be received by 30 November 2026?
  • How much of the $3.8 million prospective pipeline converts into signed recurring revenue and cash receipts?
  • What will the Federal Circuit appeal and JPMorgan’s approximately US$4 million fee application mean for Identitii’s balance sheet and shareholder risk?
