Titan’s new Dynasty shear zone adds high-grade growth potential

Titan Minerals has uncovered a new shear-hosted gold-silver zone outside its existing Dynasty resource, while drilling continues to extend and define the Cerro Verde orebody. The exploration momentum comes with a sharper funding issue: Titan ended September with US$2.84 million and less than one quarter of estimated cash cover.

  • 33.5m at 6.6 g/t gold and 55.5 g/t silver outside the current Dynasty resource
  • Brecha-Comanche mineralisation extended 30 metres laterally
  • Dynasty MRE and Scoping Study now targeted for Q1 2027
  • Hanrine completed its US$20 million Linderos earn-in for a 51% stake
  • US$2.84 million cash versus 0.89 quarters of estimated funding

New shear zone opens a fresh Dynasty growth target

Titan Minerals Limited (ASX:TTM) has reported its most consequential Dynasty drilling result of the quarter in a zone outside the current resource: a 33.5-metre intercept grading 6.6 g/t gold and 55.5 g/t silver at Brecha-Comanche, including 4.5 metres at 39.5 g/t gold and 362 g/t silver.

The result comes from a newly identified shear and vein-hosted system within a northwest-trending structural corridor measuring about 1.6 kilometres by 800 metres. Titan says the shear appears to run sub-parallel to much of the historical drilling, meaning the orientation may have caused this style of mineralisation to be missed. Follow-up holes are being drilled perpendicular to the interpreted structures to test for repetitions and lateral extensions. The initial discovery was covered in the new shear-hosted zone earlier this quarter.

Brecha-Comanche drilling strengthens the resource case

Resource drilling also confirmed a 30-metre lateral extension to mineralisation first identified in 2025. An extended hole returned 16.0 metres at 2.8 g/t gold and 9.1 g/t silver from 433.9 metres, plus a separate 4.4-metre interval at 1.9 g/t gold and 7.4 g/t silver. The extension sits outside the current resource, adding potential growth but not yet changing the formal Mineral Resource Estimate.

Infill drilling returned several broad zones, including 19.7 metres at 2.6 g/t gold and 14.0 g/t silver, 22.1 metres at 2.5 g/t gold and 5.9 g/t silver, and 12.5 metres at 2.8 g/t gold and 28.4 g/t silver. Titan says the results support possible upgrades from Inferred to Indicated resources within the conceptual open-pit design. The company had already reported the 30-metre Brecha-Comanche extension, but the latest quarterly report places that result alongside the new structural discovery and broader infill campaign.

More rigs, but the study timetable moves into 2027

Titan added a fourth diamond rig during the quarter and began RC drilling in mid-October. The RC rig is intended for shallow resource drilling and first-pass exploration, while the expanded program will test extensions beneath the historic Brecha-Comanche waste dump, vein and shear extensions at Kaliman, repetitions of the newly identified shear zone and a major structural intersection.

The current Dynasty MRE remains 65.55 million tonnes at 1.85 g/t gold and 12.38 g/t silver, containing 3.9 million ounces of gold and 26.1 million ounces of silver. Titan now expects its updated MRE and Scoping Study in Q1 2027, after allowing additional drilling to feed into both exercises. Those studies remain forward-looking and will need to establish how exploration results translate into mineable resources and project economics.

Hanrine earns 51% of Linderos copper project

At Linderos, Hancock Prospecting subsidiary Hanrine completed the third earn-in milestone by spending US$20 million, earning a 51% interest in the copper project in less than two years against a seven-year allowance. Titan retains 49% and is free-carried until Hanrine reaches the final milestone for an 80% interest, triggered by a decision to mine or aggregate expenditure of US$120 million. A US$1 million payment remains payable to Titan once the transfer of the 51% concession ownership is completed.

Hanrine's latest drilling returned 700.4 metres at 0.36% copper equivalent from 270.3 metres, including 20 metres at 0.82% and 164.8 metres at 0.52%. The drilling has outlined a porphyry copper system extending for more than one kilometre along strike and to one kilometre depth, with mineralisation still open in both directions identified for follow-up drilling. The earn-in and drilling results build on the Hanrine 51% earn-in, which was previously reported alongside the project's porphyry intersections.

Exploration pace meets an immediate funding test

The quarter's exploration progress is shadowed by Titan's cash position. Titan held US$2.839 million, or about A$4.08 million, at 30 September, after spending US$2.409 million on exploration and evaluation and US$771,000 on operating activities during the quarter. The Appendix 5B calculates relevant quarterly outgoings at US$3.18 million, leaving an estimated 0.89 quarters of funding and no available finance facilities.

Titan said it does not expect to maintain the current cash-flow level indefinitely, but acknowledged it will likely need to raise capital in the near term and said it was confident it could complete a raising when required. That creates a direct tension between the company's ambition to accelerate drilling ahead of the Q1 2027 studies and the limited cash available to fund that work. The next assays may improve the resource story, but the next financing decision could determine how quickly the story can advance.

Bottom Line?

Titan has added genuine exploration momentum at Dynasty and a substantial copper partner at Linderos, but the 0.89-quarter cash estimate makes funding the next round of drilling an immediate catalyst and risk.

Questions in the middle?

  • How much additional mineralisation will the follow-up drilling add to the Dynasty MRE outside the current resource?
  • Will the Q1 2027 MRE and Scoping Study support a meaningful improvement in the project's development case?
  • When will Titan raise capital, and on what terms, given its stated cash requirements and expanded drilling program?
