19 of 24 A1 and A4 holes return gold mineralisation
Verity Resources has identified gold mineralisation across a 9km corridor at Monument and outlined a new intrusion-related target at Gum Well. The exploration progress comes with only $471,000 in cash, or an estimated 0.82 quarters of funding, leaving further work dependent on lower spending and potential capital raising.
- Gold mineralisation in 19 of 24 A1 and A4 aircore holes
- New 1.1km Gum Well gold-in-soil anomaly remains open
- Botswana copper, silver and nickel licences renewed for two years
- $471,000 cash balance and 0.82 quarters of estimated funding
- Western Australian tenure and access disputes remain unresolved

Monument drilling broadens the gold footprint
Verity Resources Limited (ASX:VRL) has added three exploration fronts to its Monument gold story, but the quarter also exposed the explorer’s immediate financial constraint. Aircore drilling confirmed gold mineralisation at A4, A1 and Perseverance across a 9km banded iron formation corridor, extending along strike from the company’s 137,700oz Korong-Waihi Mineral Resource.

The 58-hole, 2,622-metre program produced gold above a 0.1g/t reporting cut-off in 19 of 24 holes at A4 and A1. At A4, 13 of 15 holes returned mineralisation across roughly 1.1km of drill-tested strike, including 7 metres at 0.73g/t from 12 metres. At A1, six of nine holes were anomalous over about 450 metres, with a best result of 8 metres at 0.73g/t from 8 metres. The earlier 9km BIF corridor drilling had already confirmed the broader trend, making the next phase of drilling more consequential than the initial aircore results alone.
Gum Well opens a new intrusion-related target
Soil sampling has also pointed to a different style of mineralisation at Gum Well, where a coherent gold anomaly extends for about 1.1km and remains open to the north and south. The peak soil result was 64 parts per billion gold, close to rock-chip pathfinders of 779 parts per million copper and 1.2 parts per million tellurium associated with an interpreted intrusive body.

Verity says the alignment of the magnetic feature, copper-tellurium pathfinders and soil anomaly defines a new intrusion-related target at Monument. That is an exploration interpretation rather than a resource estimate: detailed mapping and infill sampling are still required before drilling. Re-assays of individual 1-metre splits from the best A4 and A1 composites are also planned because the reported 4-metre composites may have diluted narrower, higher-grade intervals.
Follow-up work remains ahead of resource growth
The company plans RC drilling at A4 and A1 to test true widths and grades, while McKenzie Well is being advanced towards first-pass drilling and Korong Syenite requires further infill sampling. Perseverance returned a more modest 5 metres at 0.21g/t from 4 metres, although Verity is combining that result with earlier RC drilling and pathfinder geochemistry for follow-up work. Cooper Well and Korong Syenite did not produce significant gold mineralisation in the quarter, despite anomalous pathfinder geochemistry.

Monument’s current JORC 2012 resource stands at 2.5 million tonnes at 1.72g/t gold for 137,700oz, including 66,200oz in the Indicated category. The company says around 20km of BIF strike remains prospective and has identified about 60 priority targets, but the gap between exploration potential and a larger resource remains to be closed through drilling, sampling and technical studies.
Botswana tenure secured while Brazil pauses
In Botswana, four prospecting licences covering the Airstrip and Dibete copper-silver discoveries and the Maibele North nickel-copper-PGE resource were renewed for two years. The renewal removes an immediate tenure deadline across Verity’s most advanced Botswana assets, while soil sampling continued across the 903-square-kilometre PL123/2024 licence. Assay results from that program are pending. The renewal followed the company’s Botswana licence renewal, which secured the same project ground for another two years.

No new field work occurred at the 70%-owned Pimenta rare earths project in Brazil during the quarter. Verity is assessing next steps for that portfolio, while renewal fees were paid. The company also continues to face unresolved Western Australian Warden’s Court proceedings, objections affecting its mining lease application and disputes over proposed haul-road tenure. Verity says the outcomes and timing of those matters remain uncertain.
Cash runway makes capital the immediate question
Verity finished September with $471,000 in cash after $577,000 of net operating cash outflow during the quarter. Exploration and evaluation spending totalled $451,000, including $331,000 in Western Australia, $39,000 in Botswana and $81,000 in Brazil. On the ASX cash-flow calculation, the company reported estimated funding of 0.82 quarters and no available finance facilities.
The board said it does not expect the current level of operating outflow to continue, arguing that near-term project spending should be significantly lower. It also said Verity will seek to raise funds if required and remains confident it can continue operations. That assurance sits alongside a clearly stated funding need: the next meaningful Monument catalysts, including re-assays and RC drilling, must be financed before they can convert exploration indications into a more investable resource case.
Bottom Line?
Monument has delivered useful exploration momentum, but the next drilling phase is tied to a sub-one-quarter cash position and the timing of any capital raising.
Questions in the middle?
- Will the planned 1-metre re-assays reveal grades materially stronger than the diluted composite results at A4 and A1?
- How quickly can Verity fund RC drilling and advance Gum Well from a soil anomaly to a drill-tested target?
- Will tenure disputes or a future capital raising alter the pace, scale or ownership economics of the exploration program?
