3Q26 sales accelerate beyond Europe
Vmoto Limited (ASX:VMT) sold 4,881 electric motorcycles and mopeds in the September quarter, an 80% increase on 3Q25. The company said the result reflected fulfilment of existing orders alongside demand from established and new customers, despite the European holiday season.
The more consequential shift is geographic. Vmoto said sales and orders are increasing across China, Southeast Asia, South America and Africa, reducing its reliance on Europe as it builds an international distribution and fleet-sales strategy. The company is also pursuing integrated e-mobility offerings that combine vehicles with fast charging, battery swapping and fleet-management services, with potential B2B customers showing interest particularly in South America.
The latest quarter extends the momentum described in Vmoto's record half-year sales, when the company reported 12,713 vehicles sold in the first half and revenue of $35.7 million. The current filing does not disclose 3Q26 revenue, profit, margins or cash flow, so unit growth remains the clearest operating measure available.
5,845 units lined up for 4Q26
Firm orders stood at 5,845 units at 30 September, with deliveries scheduled for the December quarter. That order book exceeds the number sold in 3Q26, providing a concrete near-term delivery pipeline, although Vmoto gives no associated revenue or margin value.
The company is developing a lower-priced electric moped under the CP model designation for both delivery and passenger use. It is being tailored to Asian market requirements, where Vmoto sees support from government policies, rising consumer awareness and the practical demands of commercial fleets.
Cash supports manufacturing and international expansion
Vmoto finished the quarter with A$26 million in cash while drawing RMB80.5 million, or approximately A$17.2 million, from unsecured revolving bank facilities in China. Those facilities carry stated interest rates of about 2.4% to 2.7% and are being used to fund components, working capital, product upgrades and business expansion.

The company is also spending on research and development, new moulds and Stage 2 manufacturing facilities in Nanjing. Building construction, roads and landscaping at the site have been completed, but the filing frames the investment as part of a longer-term capacity and operational expansion rather than reporting a completed production ramp.
Vmoto's earlier Thailand investment plan has also changed at the funding level. Tora Leasing will remain a minority shareholder after deciding not to proceed with further investment beyond its initial THB3 million contribution, meaning Vmoto continues to assess the operational and development requirements of the Thailand business.
Saudi Arabia and Uber partnerships take different forms

Discussions with Alsak Investment Company remain exploratory but could lead to an integrated headquarters and regional operating centre in Saudi Arabia serving the Gulf Cooperation Council and Africa. The potential platform may include assembly, distribution, after-sales support, fast charging and battery swapping. No commitment to establish those operations has been announced.
By contrast, Vmoto's international partnership with Uber has been renewed until April 2027, with automatic 12-month renewals unless either party ends the agreement. In the Netherlands, Vmoto and supplier partners will offer Uber couriers discounts spanning electric vehicles, rental, maintenance and charging services, an arrangement intended to make fleet electrification more accessible rather than a disclosed sales contract.
Bottom Line?
The 5,845-unit order book gives Vmoto a tangible 4Q26 test, but investors will need revenue, margin and cash-use data to judge how efficiently this expansion is translating into shareholder value.
Questions in the middle?
- Can Vmoto convert the 5,845 firm orders into deliveries without putting further pressure on cash or bank facilities?
- What revenue, margin and working-capital contribution will come from the growing markets outside Europe?
- Will the Alsak discussions produce a committed Saudi Arabian operating platform, and how would Vmoto fund it alongside Thailand and Nanjing investment?
