Capstone Copper has agreed to sell its Cozamin mine in Mexico to Luca Mining in a deal featuring US$275 million upfront and as much as US$110 million in deferred and copper-linked payments. The proposed sale would give Capstone fresh balance-sheet capacity while preserving indirect exposure to the asset through Luca shares.

Cobre Limited (ASX:CBE) says its Sierra Atacama turnaround delivered a first cash-positive quarter, higher recovery and 879 tonnes of copper cathode production. The company remains loss-making at group level, but enters FY27 with more cash, a larger project stake and an ambitious drilling and expansion programme.

Asara Resources has emerged from FY2026 with a substantially larger Kada gold resource, strong cash backing and a more concentrated Guinea strategy. The headline resource update came after year-end and remains a Mineral Resource, not an Ore Reserve or economic mine plan.

Narryer Metals is buying the Redhill Copper Project in southern Chile from 29Metals, gaining an existing 4.3Mt inferred resource and a much larger conceptual exploration target. The deal also brings a A$1 million strategic investment from 29Metals at a 54% premium to Narryer’s pre-announcement share price.

FMR Resources will sell its Fairfield copper-gold project to unlisted MFM Resources for $200,000 in MFM shares, subject to approvals, due diligence and MFM securing a proposed ASX listing. The deal marks a sharper concentration of FMR’s resources on its Chilean portfolio, but leaves shareholders exposed to the uncertainty of a future IPO and a non-cash consideration.
