High-Grade Gold Results Bolster Boundiali Project
Aurum Resources Limited (ASX – AUE) has unveiled a series of compelling high-grade gold intercepts from its ongoing drilling campaign at the Boundiali Gold Project in Côte d’Ivoire. The highlight is a remarkable 3.10 metres grading 70.78 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from a depth of 112.90 metres at the BMT3 deposit, a result that sits outside the current mineral resource estimate (MRE) and underscores the project's upside potential.
This intercept is part of a broader 5.10m section averaging 43.13 g/t Au, confirming the presence of rich gold shoots within the deposit. Additional noteworthy results include multiple intercepts ranging from 1.80 g/t to 10.71 g/t over various intervals, reinforcing the continuity and grade of mineralisation.
Accelerated Drilling and Resource Expansion
To capitalize on these promising results, Aurum has expanded its drilling fleet to 12 diamond rigs, enabling an aggressive and cost-effective exploration program. The company aims to complete over 100,000 metres of drilling at Boundiali in calendar year 2025, alongside a 30,000-metre program at its Napié Gold Project. This scale of activity is designed to increase both the size and confidence of the mineral resources, with a focus on infill drilling and testing new targets identified through soil anomalies and geological mapping.
Importantly, gold mineralisation at Boundiali remains open along strike and at depth, suggesting significant potential for further resource growth. Aurum plans to deliver major resource updates for both Boundiali and Napié early in the first quarter of 2026, which could materially enhance the company's resource base beyond the current 3.28 million ounces of gold.
Pathway to Development and Strong Financial Position
Alongside exploration, Aurum is advancing a Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) for the Boundiali Project, with results expected in Q1 2026. This study will provide critical insights into the project's economic and technical viability, marking a key milestone toward potential development.
Financially, Aurum is well-positioned to support its growth ambitions, holding approximately $45 million in cash, including shares in Montage Gold. This robust balance sheet underpins the company's capacity to sustain its extensive drilling programs and development activities without immediate capital constraints.
Strategic Position in West Africa’s Gold Belt
The Boundiali Gold Project is strategically located within a prolific greenstone belt in Côte d’Ivoire, near established mines such as Resolute’s Syama and Perseus’ Sissingué. Aurum’s portfolio also includes the Napié Gold Project and other exploration assets, positioning the company as a significant player in West Africa’s gold exploration landscape.
Managing Director Dr. Caigen Wang highlighted the company’s unique advantage of owning and operating a large diamond drilling fleet, enabling rapid and flexible exploration. He emphasized the company’s commitment to delivering shareholder value through resource growth and project advancement in the coming years.
Bottom Line?
With high-grade hits and an expanded drilling fleet, Aurum is poised for significant resource growth and development milestones in early 2026.
