Latest Resource Growth News

Iltani Resources has secured firm commitments for a $4.6 million placement, anchored by a $1.5 million investment from QIC’s Queensland Critical Minerals Fund. The funding will support a 145-hole drilling program at the Orient Silver-Zinc-Indium Project before the wet season, with further work planned in 2027.

Patriot Resources has completed 38 surface samples at its Tassa silver-gold project in Peru, where mapping identified a 120-metre breccia interpreted as the upper part of a preserved epithermal system. The company is now moving south into the newly acquired Tassa 5 tenement while its maiden drill permit application progresses.

Prospect Resources has reported its first Phase 3 infill assays from Nyungu Central, including 18 metres at 1.31% copper, while extensional drilling continues to identify broad mineralisation beyond the existing resource. Twenty Nyungu Central assay results remain pending as the company advances toward a Q1 2027 Mumbezhi Scoping Study.

Marmota has reported multiple high-grade gold intersections from the first assays at Mainwood, the southern extension of its Greenewood discovery in South Australia. Results from only 15 of 84 sections include 4 metres at 15 grams per tonne gold, while drilling and further assays continue.

Terra Metals has reported its largest continuous high-grade reef yet at the Southwest PGM-copper-nickel discovery, with a 336.9-metre intercept among new assay results. Heritage access is now cleared across the drilling footprint, while more than 40,000 assays remain pending ahead of a maiden resource estimate planned for Q1 2027.

Aldoro Resources has expanded its Kameelburg rare earths, strontium and niobium resource in Namibia to 804.5 million tonnes, including a maiden 162.1Mt Indicated category. The technical progress is substantial, but the annual report also flags a $15.7 million loss, just $78,561 in year-end cash and material uncertainty over ongoing funding.

Barkly Rare Earths has entered its first full year as an ASX-listed explorer with A$5.38 million in cash, a 10,000-metre drilling programme underway and an early 99% magnet rare earth oxide extraction result. The technical signals are encouraging, but both the drilling data and metallurgy remain at an early stage.

QMines has moved its Mt Chalmers copper-gold project into a Definitive Feasibility Study after securing a $15 million strategic package from QIC. The development push comes alongside a larger annual loss, $9.21 million in operating cash outflow and continued reliance on future funding.

Kingsland Minerals has advanced its flagship Leliyn Graphite Project into pre-feasibility, backed by high-grade drilling, gallium testwork and a A$2.16 million capital raising. But the ASX-listed explorer finished FY2026 with only A$458,032 in cash and remains dependent on further funding.

West Coast Silver has crossed from explorer to resource-stage company after defining 2.795 million ounces of contained silver at Elizabeth Hill. The project has generated strong drilling results and fresh funding, but the company remains loss-making and yet to establish an economic development case.

Zenith Minerals more than doubled its flagship Dulcie gold resource to 675,000 ounces in FY26, but the company’s next chapter is now tied to Forrestania Resources’ conditional takeover offer. The annual report also details Takeovers Panel intervention, ongoing drilling and a cash balance of $4.23 million.

Western Gold Resources has expanded the Gold Duke resource and production target, but its annual report carries a material uncertainty over the company’s ability to continue as a going concern. The project still needs a processing pathway, heritage consultation and further funding before production can begin.
