Spring Hill Drilling Yields 4.5m at 4.72 g/t Au and New Footwall Lode

PC Gold has revealed fresh high-grade gold intersections and a new footwall lode at Spring Hill, reinforcing the project’s growth potential ahead of a resource update.

  • Visible gold extends Link Zone up-dip and down-plunge
  • New footwall lode discovered outside current resource
  • Macau Zone continues to deliver significant intercepts
  • Photon assay testwork underway with Chrysos Corporation

Visible Gold Highlights Continuity in Link Zone

PC Gold Limited (ASX:PC2) has intersected extensive visible gold (VG) in two key drill holes at its Spring Hill Gold Project, with assays pending. Hole SDH26-009, drilled 120 metres up-dip from previous intercepts, and SDH26-010a, 120 metres down-plunge, both revealed abundant VG, underscoring the continuity and scale potential of the Link Zone. These visual observations complement strong assay results from nearby holes, including 4.5 metres at 4.72 g/t Au and 7 metres at 2.55 g/t Au, reinforcing the zone’s high-grade credentials. The drilling program has overcome structural challenges to better target mineralisation, improving confidence in geological interpretations.

This development builds on recent successes where PC Gold extended the Main Zone strike with high-grade intercepts within the existing pit shell, as reported in the company’s earlier Main Zone extended 120m south update. The current visible gold findings add an important dimension by visually confirming coarse gold presence, a key factor given the deposit’s coarse gold nature.

Discovery of New Footwall Lode Parallel to Macau Zone

Beyond the Link Zone, drilling has uncovered a previously unrecognised mineralised footwall lode outside the current Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE), interpreted as a parallel structure to the Macau Zone. Significant intercepts include 11.5 metres at 0.73 g/t Au and 15 metres at 0.94 g/t Au, with additional narrower high-grade zones. This discovery signals that Spring Hill’s mineralisation system is more complex and extensive than previously understood, supporting the company’s view that the project remains substantially underexplored. The new lode was also intersected in hole SDH26-009, assays for which are awaited.

Macau Zone Continues to Deliver Encouraging Results

The Macau Zone remains a robust contributor to Spring Hill’s resource base, with recent drill results including 17.5 metres at 1.69 g/t Au and 7.8 metres at 1.58 g/t Au, featuring higher-grade intervals within. These results align with PC Gold’s ongoing efforts to expand and upgrade resources across multiple zones, as seen in the company’s earlier New High-Grade Zones at Spring Hill disclosure, which highlighted Macau extensions and the Macau Link Zone discovery.

Photon Assay Optimization Collaboration with Chrysos

PC Gold is collaborating with Chrysos Corporation to test photon assay technology on drill core from hole SDH26-005, which intersected 113 metres at 1.14 g/t Au near surface, including 18 metres at 4.62 g/t Au. This technology aims to improve assay accuracy for coarse gold deposits by evaluating if larger sample sizes better represent true grade. The outcomes will be critical for refining future Mineral Resource Estimates and grade control strategies, potentially influencing both open pit and underground mining plans.

Resource Update and Future Drilling Plans

Cube Consulting is finalising a comprehensive remodelling of the Spring Hill deposit, with an updated MRE expected in June 2026. The evolving geological interpretation is identifying new structural targets, including additional Link-style mineralisation along strike and down-plunge high-grade shoots that may be amenable to underground mining. PC Gold is advancing drilling with three rigs active, focusing on expanding known zones and testing emerging targets. This continued exploration momentum follows a series of recent resource growth announcements, including the Thick High-Grade Gold Zones extending the Main Zone strike.

Bottom Line?

Spring Hill’s visible gold and new lode discoveries deepen its resource potential, but pending assays and the upcoming MRE will be pivotal in defining the project’s next phase.

Questions in the middle?

  • Will the pending assays from visible gold intersections confirm the anticipated high grades?
  • How will the photon assay testwork influence future resource modelling and grade control?
  • Can the newly identified footwall lode support viable underground development scenarios?
