Zenith Minerals Confirms Gold Lode Extensions at Consolidated Dulcie Project
Zenith Minerals’ latest 10-hole RC drilling campaign at its Consolidated Dulcie Gold Project validates mineralisation continuity and extends gold lodes beyond previous resource limits, setting the stage for a more ambitious follow-up drilling program.
- 10-hole RC drilling confirms mineral continuity
- High-grade intercepts include 5m at 3.49 g/t Au
- Drilling extends gold lodes beyond known limits
- Plans underway for ~5,000m follow-up drilling
- Heritage approvals progressing for optimal drill sites
Drilling Validates Continuity and Extensions at Dulcie
Zenith Minerals Limited (ASX:ZNC) has delivered encouraging assay results from a recently completed 10-hole reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at its Consolidated Dulcie Gold Project in Western Australia. The campaign, spanning approximately 1,350 metres, targeted gaps and down-dip extensions within the Dulcie South and Scott’s Grey trends. Despite some holes abandoned due to groundwater, the program confirmed mineralisation continuity and extended gold lodes beyond previously interpreted resource boundaries.
Key intercepts included a standout 5 metres at 3.49 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 91 metres in hole SRRC164 and 3 metres at 1.05 g/t from 160 metres in SRRC165, both within the Scott’s Grey trend. These results reinforce the potential for further resource growth and grade enhancement in the broader ~6-kilometre Dulcie corridor.
Insights from Dulcie South and Scott’s Grey
The Dulcie South trend saw five holes drilled to test extensions and continuity. While grades and widths were variable and in some cases lower than expected, mineralisation was confirmed across previously untested strike and down-dip positions. Notably, hole SRRC171 extended a shallow high-grade lode beyond prior drilling limits, albeit with modest grades.
In Scott’s Grey, groundwater issues forced abandonment of three holes before planned depths, limiting data in parts. Nonetheless, the remaining holes confirmed continuation of high-grade lodes, supporting ongoing targeting of priority zones. Zenith’s Managing Director Andrew Smith highlighted the improved understanding of shallow-dipping lode architecture, which will inform targeting for upcoming larger-scale RC and diamond drilling programs.
Strategic Follow-Up Drilling and Heritage Engagement
Building on these results, Zenith is advancing heritage engagement and permitting to enable more optimally positioned drill holes in future programs. A planned ~5,000-metre RC drilling campaign will focus on the recently consolidated Mining Lease M77/599, which secures control over a critical ~600-metre untested strike gap between Dulcie North and Dulcie. This campaign aims to infill resource gaps and test lateral, up- and down-dip extensions.
Additionally, targeted diamond drilling is planned to support metallurgical test work and refine structural understanding, while updated geological models will incorporate the latest assay data to sharpen exploration targeting. The Consolidated Dulcie Gold Project currently hosts a JORC (2012) Inferred Mineral Resource of 21.3 million tonnes at 1.0 g/t gold, containing approximately 675,000 ounces.
Project Advantages and Regional Context
Situated within the Southern Cross–Forrestania Gold Belt, about 30 kilometres south of Marvel Loch, the project benefits from granted mining leases, established infrastructure, and proximity to multiple operating gold processing facilities. These factors support potential near-surface open-pit mining and toll treatment options. The project’s consolidated tenure and under-drilled strike positions present significant exploration upside, with mineralisation remaining open along strike and at depth.
Zenith’s approach aligns with its broader strategy to grow and advance high-quality resource assets in established Australian mining jurisdictions. The company continues proactive engagement with Traditional Owners and stakeholders to navigate heritage and regulatory requirements ahead of its next exploration phase.
Bottom Line?
Zenith’s drilling success at Dulcie confirms continuity and extensions, but groundwater challenges and grade variability highlight the need for carefully targeted follow-up programs supported by ongoing heritage and permitting progress.
Questions in the middle?
- How will heritage and permitting timelines impact the planned ~5,000m drilling program?
- To what extent can diamond drilling refine structural models and improve resource confidence?
- What is the potential for grade enhancement in the untested strike gap between Dulcie North and Dulcie?
