Significant Gold Mineralisation Emerges at Celia South and Great Western

Gateway Mining Limited (ASX:GML) has reported encouraging first-pass aircore drilling results from its Yandal Gold Project in Western Australia, highlighting significant high-grade gold mineralisation across the Celia South and Great Western Shear Corridor structures. Notable intercepts include 12 metres at 1.4g/t Au (including 4m at 3.5g/t Au) and 10 metres at 2.2g/t Au (including 2m at 9.2g/t Au) at Celia South, alongside a 12m intercept at 1.1g/t Au at Panikin within the Great Western trend.

These results extend the known mineralised system approximately 20 kilometres south of the Mustang prospect, underscoring the expansive nature of the Yandal gold system. The Celia South prospect alone now maps out as an emerging 5-kilometre high-grade target, historically underdrilled and only shallowly tested, presenting a fresh exploration frontier for Gateway.

Expanding the Yandal Gold System with Systematic Exploration

Since acquiring the Yandal Project in August 2025, Gateway has methodically expanded its footprint of gold discoveries, with previous finds at Haflinger, Hummer, Rubicon, and Mustang North. The recent aircore program, comprising 58 holes for 5,470 metres, targeted poorly tested structural corridors, applying a geochemical mapping approach that leverages titanium to zirconium ratios to identify key mafic-intermediate contacts hosting mineralisation.

At Great Western Shear Corridor, historical drilling was limited and largely ineffective due to shallow depths and transported cover. Gateway’s new drilling has pierced this cover, revealing continuous mineralisation trends over a 3-kilometre strike at Panikin, with the key gold-bearing contact traceable for an additional 12 kilometres, mostly untested.

RC Drilling to Accelerate Resource Growth

Building on these aircore results, Gateway plans to commence reverse circulation (RC) drilling in the week of 15 June 2026. This phase will focus on extending resources at established prospects and testing depth extensions ‘underneath’ recent high-grade hits, aiming to grow the company’s current 400,400-ounce gold resource base. The RC rig will target fresh rock mineralisation, providing critical data for resource estimation in the second half of 2026.

Gateway’s CEO, Richard Pugh, emphasised the significance of these initial results, noting that the broad gold system continues to reveal multiple new targets for further drilling. He highlighted the company’s expectation of improved gold widths and grades as understanding of the system deepens, potentially leading to substantial mineralisation blowouts.

Strong Financial Position Supports Aggressive Exploration

Gateway remains well-funded to execute its 2026 exploration plans, holding $15.7 million in cash and $5.6 million in liquid ASX securities as of the March quarter. The company anticipates increased news flow with the addition of a dedicated RC rig, promising regular updates on drilling progress and assay results, including forthcoming assays from the Great Western flexure zone and northern extensions.
