Significant Shallow Gold Intercepts Expand Flushing Meadows Footprint

Yandal Resources (ASX:YRL) has unveiled promising assay results from eight reverse circulation (RC) pre-collars at its Flushing Meadows gold deposit, revealing broad, shallow oxide gold mineralisation outside the existing 268,000-ounce Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE). The standout intercept, 20 metres at 1.7 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 55 metres in hole 26IWBRC0098DA, includes higher-grade zones such as 9m at 2.7g/t Au. Another nearby hole, 26IWBRC0099D, delivered 2m at 3.3g/t Au from just 4 metres depth. These intercepts lie beyond the current resource boundary, highlighting the potential to extend the deposit, particularly to the south and at depth.

Diamond Drilling Advances Below Resource with Multiple Structures Identified

Complementing the RC results, Yandal has completed seven of eight planned diamond drill holes beneath the Flushing Meadows MRE, targeting fresh rock mineralisation roughly 100 metres below the oxide zone. While assay results from the first diamond hole 26IWBRC0095D are awaited, initial geological logging has identified multiple parallel mineralised structures in both the hanging wall and footwall of the known trend. This suggests a more complex mineralisation framework than previously understood, potentially supporting resource growth beyond the current 268,000-ounce base.

Follow-Up Drilling and Broader Exploration Programs Underway

Yandal plans follow-up RC drilling at Flushing Meadows in late June or early July to test the extent of the new shallow mineralisation. Additionally, an air-core drilling program has commenced over the broader Flushing Meadows and adjacent Giedi Prime target areas, with first results expected by late July. These efforts form part of a wider exploration push across the Ironstone Well-Barwidgee (IWB) Gold Project, which includes recent discoveries at Arrakis and Siona prospects and ongoing work at Mt McClure.

Strong Cash Position Supports Aggressive Exploration Schedule

Yandal Resources maintains a robust cash position as it advances a busy exploration calendar into the second half of 2026. The company is simultaneously managing multiple drilling campaigns, including approximately 10km of RC, 5km of diamond, and 15km of air-core drilling planned across its project portfolio. This multi-pronged approach aims to delineate new mineralised zones, refine geological models, and ultimately expand the resource base.

Geological Context and Resource Base

Flushing Meadows sits within the Yandal Greenstone Belt, a prolific gold province in Western Australia. The deposit hosts Archaean orogenic gold mineralisation associated with felsic porphyry intrusions within basaltic and iron-rich sedimentary units. The current MRE stands at 268,000 ounces at an average grade of 1.1g/t Au. The recent shallow intercepts and emerging parallel structures could materially enhance this resource pending further drilling and assay confirmation.
