1414 Degrees (ASX:14D) has entered a Heads of Agreement with an Australian data centre operator to develop up to 1 gigawatt of AI data centre infrastructure at its Aurora Energy Precinct in South Australia. This partnership aims to capitalise on Aurora's large-scale renewable energy assets, including up to 900 MW of solar generation and a 140 MW / 280 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS), positioning the precinct as a major player in Australia's burgeoning AI infrastructure market.

The agreement grants the operator exclusivity over an initial 40-hectare parcel within the expansive 1580-hectare Aurora site, which boasts grid access through 33kV and 275kV connections, fibre connectivity, and water access, all critical for data centre operations. Development is planned in three phases: a 17 MW starter campus utilising the existing 33kV connection, a 200 MW anchor campus following the connection of the 275kV transmission line, and a longer-term expansion to gigawatt scale as renewable generation capacity is progressively built out.
