A$7 Million SPP Extended to 15 September at A$0.065

Biotechnology By Ada Torres 2 min read

Prescient Therapeutics has given shareholders another week to participate in its A$7 million share purchase plan, citing delayed documentation and requests for more time. The capital raising is intended to fund PTX-100 through a planned December 2026 Dose Optimisation Committee meeting.

  • SPP closing date extended to 15 September 2026
  • Shares priced at A$0.065, an 18.8% discount to VWAP
  • Capital raising targets up to A$7 million
  • Funds intended to advance PTX-100 beyond the December review
  • SPP results now due on 21 September 2026

SPP Deadline Extended by One Week

Prescient Therapeutics (ASX:PTX) has extended the deadline for its share purchase plan by seven days, giving eligible shareholders until 5pm AEST on 15 September to apply. The company said the move followed delayed documentation and requests from several shareholders for additional time, rather than disclosing any update on the amount raised so far.

The SPP is targeting up to A$7 million at A$0.065 per share. That price represents an 18.8% discount to Prescient’s 10-day volume-weighted average price before the offer was announced, with eligible shareholders able to apply for up to A$30,000 of new shares.

Capital Target Tied to PTX-100 Milestone

Prescient says the proceeds will be used to advance PTX-100 beyond a Dose Optimisation Committee meeting scheduled for December 2026. That meeting is expected to provide guidance on whether the study should continue and how the programme might progress, although both the timing and subsequent development decisions remain prospective.

PTX-100 is being studied in cutaneous T-cell lymphoma, with Prescient describing the programme as having shown early clinical activity and encouraging efficacy and safety in earlier work. The company says its Phase 2 study is recruiting globally and is designed to enrol up to 40 patients in its Phase 2a component. Those claims describe the programme’s development status, not a guaranteed clinical outcome.

Share Issue Results Become the Next Test

The revised timetable puts the SPP results announcement on 21 September, followed by the proposed issue of shares on 22 September, subject to the relevant ASX requirements. The key unanswered point is how much of the A$7 million target shareholders ultimately subscribe for; the announcement does not indicate that the full amount will be achieved.

Bottom Line?

The immediate catalyst is the 21 September SPP result, which will show how much funding Prescient has secured before the December PTX-100 decision point.

Questions in the middle?

  • How much of the A$7 million SPP target will shareholders subscribe for?
  • Will the funds raised be sufficient to carry PTX-100 beyond the December 2026 committee meeting?
  • What guidance will the Dose Optimisation Committee provide on the study’s continuation and development path?
