Recharge Reveals Stronger Tungsten Potential at Brandy Hill South

Recharge Metals has identified materially higher tungsten grades in selected re-assayed pulps from its Brandy Hill South copper project in Western Australia. The results strengthen the case for a broad Cu-W-Mo system, but the most important evidence still sits in more than 1,000 samples awaiting testing.

Recharge Metals Limited (ASX:REC) has found that its earlier assays understated tungsten at Brandy Hill South, turning what had been examined largely as a copper-molybdenum prospect into a more complicated Cu-W-Mo exploration story. Selected pulps from two diamond holes returned tungsten grades 5% to 49% higher when tested using lithium borate fusion, which the company says is the more appropriate method for the mineralisation.

Re-assays reveal copper-tungsten intersections

The strongest composite result came from hole BHRCD027, where a 41.5-metre interval from 375.5 metres averaged 0.73% copper, 0.08% WO3 and 25 parts per million molybdenum. Within it, a 7.5-metre section graded 1.65% copper and 0.13% WO3, while a separate six-metre interval returned 0.76% copper and 0.13% WO3.

Hole BHRCD030 produced an 11-metre interval from 124 metres grading 0.33% copper, 0.15% WO3 and 35 parts per million molybdenum. A one-metre section within that zone delivered 1.19% WO3, alongside 0.10% copper and 54 parts per million molybdenum. The results are based on a limited selection of pulps, rather than a complete re-assay of the project.

A broader system than the original model suggested

Recharge’s technical review has also revisited the geological model. The company previously focused on a possible volcanic massive sulphide system and narrower, higher-grade copper zones. It now points to broad disseminated scheelite, copper and molybdenum, alteration involving biotite, potassium feldspar, amphibole, magnetite and quartz, and brecciated quartz veining as evidence consistent with a potential intrusion-related magmatic system.

Existing drilling has outlined copper-molybdenum mineralisation over 500 metres of strike and to 400 metres vertical depth, with the company stating that the zone remains open in all directions. Earlier drilling includes 73 metres at 0.56% copper and 28 parts per million molybdenum from 63 metres in BHRC004, plus 161.7 metres at 0.27% copper and 51 parts per million molybdenum from 165.3 metres in BHD026. These broader historical intervals have not yet been re-assayed for tungsten.

More assays and geophysics now set the pace

Recharge has identified more than 1,000 pulps for priority tungsten re-assaying and says some historical drilling was never tested for tungsten or molybdenum. It also plans a high-resolution drone magnetic survey over a 2.5-kilometre target, although drilling so far has tested only about 500 metres of that interpreted footprint. Follow-up work under consideration includes ground gravity, preliminary metallurgical testing and additional drilling.

The immediate investment question is therefore less about whether two holes contain tungsten than whether the revised assay method consistently lifts grades across the wider dataset. The announcement also states that Recharge held $5.6 million in cash as of “31 June 2026”, a date that does not exist and should be clarified, particularly as the company is also preparing an inaugural 30,000-metre drill program at its Prospero gold deposit.

Bottom Line?

The re-assays improve Brandy Hill South’s exploration appeal, but the thesis now depends on whether tungsten continuity survives testing across the remaining 1,000-plus samples and follow-up drilling.
