Aerometrex secures Beetaloo survey work

Aerometrex Limited (ASX:AMX) has won a $617,141 excluding GST contract from Tamboran B2 Pty Ltd to conduct LiDAR and aerial imagery surveys across approximately 7,500 square kilometres in the Daly Waters region of the Northern Territory.

Tamboran B2 is a joint venture between Tamboran Resources Corporation and Daly Waters Energy. The survey area covers the venture's priority leases in the Beetaloo Sub-basin, with the resulting data intended to support development planning.

High-density mapping combines LiDAR and imagery

Aerometrex will use its high-density point cloud capability alongside concurrent aerial imagery capture. That combination gives the company a defined resources-sector project rather than a simple imagery supply arrangement, although the announcement does not disclose the contract's margin, payment terms or expected contribution to annual revenue.

The work adds another resources-linked contract to Aerometrex's geospatial surveying operations, while its wider offering also includes MetroMap and 3D visualisation models. Managing director and chief executive Rob Veitch said the project reinforced Aerometrex's position as a trusted partner for large-scale geospatial survey work.

Capture scheduled to finish by October

Data capture is expected to commence shortly after the contract award, with completion anticipated by October 2026. Production is then expected to be finalised approximately eight weeks after acquisition, rather than on a fixed date disclosed by the company.

The immediate test is execution across a large survey footprint and the timing of final production. Subsequent company updates may clarify when the contract is recognised as revenue and whether the Beetaloo relationship leads to additional work, but neither outcome is specified in the announcement.
