Nevertire Search Area Expands Beyond 40 Kilometres

Kincora Copper Limited (ASX:KCC) has substantially widened the geological map around its Nevertire project, reporting more than 40 kilometres of interpreted prospective strike across the Nevertire and Nevertire South licences. Four scout holes drilled across a 15km southern section all intersected rocks interpreted as part of the Macquarie Arc, although confirmatory lithogeochemistry and age dating remain pending.

The expansion matters because it shifts the story from a small cluster of drill targets to a broader search for multiple intrusive complexes. Kincora says the newly defined strike is more than five times the previously drilled extent across the wider Nevertire Magmatic Complex, which already contains two priority target systems. That is an exploration thesis, not a resource estimate: the company says current spacing is insufficient to establish geological or grade continuity.

NEDD011 Points Towards a Deeper Porphyry Centre

The most closely watched hole is NEDD011, drilled to 588.4 metres. Its assayed basement interval returned 312.8 metres at 0.025% copper and 0.0304 grams per tonne gold, with selected zones carrying stronger values. Peak results included 1,525 parts per million copper and 0.307 grams per tonne gold, while a 33.2-metre interval from 440 metres returned 0.059% copper and 0.089 grams per tonne gold.

Kincora interprets the increasing vein density, sulphides, magnetic response and intrusive complexity towards the bottom of NEDD011 as vectors towards a deeper or laterally positioned porphyry core. The language is deliberately geological rather than economic. The reported intervals use early-stage exploration thresholds, are downhole lengths rather than true widths, and are expressly not intended to represent resource grades or economic cut-offs.

Drilling Pipeline Still Has Assays Outstanding

The 2026 program has completed 24 holes for 10,379.7 metres across Nevertire South and the wider magmatic complex, using mud-rotary drilling through cover before diamond tails in basement. Results from NEDD019 through NEDD025 were still pending in the announcement, leaving a near-term flow of assay data that could either strengthen or complicate the emerging interpretation.

Follow-up work is already being shaped around two complexes. At the northern complex, Kincora proposes further step-out drilling before infill and deeper holes, while the southern complex has returned broad and localised copper-gold anomalism with alteration and veining interpreted as transitional towards more proximal porphyry settings. Scout drilling has also resumed at Nyngan across the Ace of Spades and Gerar targets.

AngloGold Partnership Supports District-Scale Testing

The exploration is being conducted under two earn-in and joint venture agreements with AngloGold Ashanti Australia. AngloGold Ashanti has the right to invest up to A$100 million across five adjacent licences covering more than 100 kilometres of continuous strike, while Kincora manages the programs and receives a 10% management fee on expenditure.

That partnership reduces the immediate funding burden of testing a large, covered geological system, but it does not remove the technical risk. Kincora plans additional gravity surveying, further scout and step-out drilling and a systematic 2027 field program. The decisive question is whether the next holes demonstrate continuity, geometry and grades strong enough to move these porphyry indicators beyond an attractive regional concept.
