Private Land Secured Over Petrovo Drill Area
Yugo Metals Limited (ASX:YUG) has removed a practical obstacle ahead of its first drilling campaign at Petrovo, securing access to 18,227 square metres of private land inside the St Nicholas project in Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The six-year agreement covers the planned drill sites and the key historical drill collars from a 1969 programme. It permits exploration, drilling, sampling and geophysical work, while mining and processing activities would remain subject to the required licences and permits. The arrangement also prevents the landowner from selling or encumbering the parcels in ways that would prejudice Yugo's rights.
EUR300,000 Cash Payment and 18 Million Shares
Yugo will pay EUR300,000 in cash, in the Australian dollar equivalent at the European Central Bank reference rate on the payment date, alongside 18 million fully paid ordinary shares. The shares are being issued under the company's ASX Listing Rule 7.1 placement capacity and will be voluntarily escrowed for 24 months.
Bottom Line?
The access agreement clears the way for Petrovo's next technical test, but value now depends on approvals, survey results and whether modern drilling validates the old intercepts.
Questions in the middle?
- Will the IP survey identify targets that support the planned twin-drilling programme?
- Can new drilling reproduce the historical nickel and polymetallic intercepts under modern sampling and analysis?
- Will Yugo eventually exercise the land purchase option, and what approvals and dilution would that require?
