PC Gold uncovers a new high-grade Link-style zone at Spring Hill
PC Gold has extended three gold lodes north of its Spring Hill resource, including a newly identified Link-style zone with grades as high as 10.03 g/t Au. Ten of 32 RC holes remain unassayed, leaving the scale and continuity of the extensions unresolved.
- North Link identified between the Eastern Lode and Macau Extended
- 2m at 10.03 g/t Au in XRC021
- 3m at 7.94 g/t Au and 8m at 3.64 g/t Au
- Macau Extended now spans 950m of strike and outcrops at surface
- Assays pending for 10 of 32 RC holes

Three Spring Hill lodes move beyond the resource boundary
PC Gold Limited (ASX:PC2) has found a new high-grade zone north of its Spring Hill Mineral Resource Estimate, extending the known footprint of the Northern Territory gold project beyond the existing 1.51 million-ounce resource.
Results from 22 of 32 reverse circulation holes have extended the Eastern Lode, Macau Extended Lode and a newly identified North Link Zone to the north. The program covered 5,340 metres in the Lasagne area, while assays from the remaining 10 holes are still pending. The result adds to a run of exploration updates around Spring Hill, including the but links are not used in final output.
The strongest intersections included 2 metres at 10.03 grams per tonne gold from 92 metres in XRC021, 3 metres at 7.94 g/t from 106 metres in XRC006 and 8 metres at 3.64 g/t from 79 metres in XRC022. These are downhole intervals, however, and the release does not state their true widths.
North Link mirrors Spring Hill’s high-grade structure
The North Link Zone strikes northeast to southwest and connects the Eastern Lode with Macau Extended. PC Gold says it shares the orientation, lithology and high-grade characteristics of the existing Spring Hill Link Zone, raising the possibility of further repeat structures north of the current resource.
The new results follow and sit within the same broader effort to test extensions and improve the resource model. The company has described the North Link as thin but high grade, with further drilling needed to establish its plunge and continuity. Wide spacing in parts of the program means the current intersections demonstrate mineralisation, rather than yet defining a mineable or resource-scale body.
Macau Extended reaches 950 metres of strike
Macau Extended has now been defined over 950 metres of strike, with mineralisation outcropping at surface. Results included 12 metres at 1.88 g/t from just 1 metre in XRC014, 2 metres at 7.08 g/t from 98 metres in XRC018 and 2 metres at 10.03 g/t in XRC021.
PC Gold plans infill drilling across all three lodes for consideration in the next resource estimate, alongside diamond drilling to improve structural interpretation and targeting. The immediate catalysts are the 10 outstanding RC assays and results from ongoing RC and diamond programs. Until those results establish continuity, true widths and geological scale, the high grades are best viewed as promising exploration evidence rather than a quantified addition to the resource.
Bottom Line?
The drilling has expanded Spring Hill’s geological footprint, but the next assays and tighter-spaced drilling must turn isolated high-grade hits into a coherent mineralised model.
Questions in the middle?
- Will the 10 pending assays extend the North Link, Eastern Lode and Macau Extended zones with consistent widths and grades?
- Can diamond drilling establish the structure and plunge of the thin, high-grade North Link Zone?
- How much of the newly identified mineralisation can ultimately be incorporated into the next Spring Hill resource estimate?
