Resolution’s Golden Gate North gold system keeps opening up
Resolution Minerals has confirmed at least 500 metres of open-ended gold mineralisation at Golden Gate North in Idaho, with two new holes returning more than 320 metres of downhole gold-bearing intervals. The results strengthen the geological picture, but true widths, economic significance and the ultimate scale of the system remain unresolved.
- 500m-long, 200m-wide and 300m-deep interpreted gold zone at Golden Gate North
- 324m at 0.49 g/t gold in HH-GG26-031C
- 322m at 0.37 g/t gold in HH-GG26-032C
- Northern step-out returned 134.2m at 0.40 g/t gold
- More than 32 gold and tungsten assays remain pending

Golden Gate North extends across 500 metres
Resolution Minerals Ltd (ASX:RML) has added another 500 metres to the geological story at Golden Gate North, reporting broad gold-bearing intervals in three diamond holes from its Horse Heaven project in Idaho. The company says the interpreted zone now extends for at least 500 metres, is at least 200 metres wide and reaches at least 300 metres in depth, remaining open along strike and down dip.
The strongest continuity came from two fan holes drilled from the same platform as a 2025 hole. HH-GG26-031C returned 324 metres at 0.49 grams per tonne gold from surface, while HH-GG26-032C returned 322 metres at 0.37 g/t from surface. Within those intervals were higher-grade sections including 30.8 metres at 0.88 g/t and 8.65 metres at 1.05 g/t respectively. A separate northern hole, HH-GG26-039C, returned 134.2 metres at 0.40 g/t from surface, including 51.7 metres at 0.53 g/t.
Northern step-out supports open-ended mineralisation
HH-GG26-039C was drilled almost 500 metres north of the two fan holes, making its 134.2-metre intercept important for the company’s interpretation of continuity. Resolution says gold-in-soil anomalies could extend the mineralised package another 500 metres north and a similar distance south, although those surface anomalies are exploration indicators rather than a defined resource.
The new assays build on the company’s 12,236m Horse Heaven drill program, which was completed across 42 diamond holes and targeted gold and tungsten at Golden Gate North and Golden Gate South. At Golden Gate North, earlier drilling included long gold intervals such as 197.5 metres at 1.26 g/t in HH-GG25-001C and 253 metres at 1.50 g/t in HH-GG25-003C. The current release extends the interpreted system down dip and northward, but does not establish a mineral resource estimate.
Assays show scale, not yet economics

There is an important distinction between the width of the reported intervals and the geometry of a potential deposit. All intersections are downhole lengths and may not represent true widths; Resolution says there is insufficient local geological data to determine the true-width relationship conclusively. The company also notes that no verification of the significant intersections had been completed before release, with selected verification assays planned.
One hole also returned 2.45 metres at 28 g/t silver, adding a small but notable polymetallic feature to the results. The broader Horse Heaven project is being explored for gold, tungsten, antimony and silver, and Resolution expects initial tungsten assays from the 2026 program alongside further gold results. More than 32 holes remain incompletely assayed across Golden Gate North and South.
Pending results will test the continuity thesis
Resolution plans to use the remaining assays to fill gaps in the current drill pattern and increase confidence in the interpreted gold-tungsten system. It is also progressing permitting for a 2027 program aimed at a 2,000-metre corridor linking Golden Gate North and South, as well as additional drilling north of Golden Gate North and infill work.

For shareholders, the next batch of assays matters more than any single headline intercept. The open-ended geometry is encouraging from an exploration standpoint, but the investment case still depends on whether follow-up drilling demonstrates coherent true widths, repeatable grades and a deposit that can eventually support resource estimation and metallurgical work.
Bottom Line?
Resolution has expanded the geological footprint at Golden Gate North, but the next test is whether pending assays convert broad downhole intersections into a consistent, properly constrained mineral system.
Questions in the middle?
- Will further drilling establish true widths and continuity between Golden Gate North and South?
- Do the pending tungsten assays add a material second value driver to the gold system?
- Can the 2027 corridor drilling support a future mineral resource estimate rather than simply extend the exploration footprint?
