Develop Global turns record Woodlawn volumes into a broader growth push
Develop Global delivered record mining and processing volumes at Woodlawn while advancing its lithium and copper growth pipeline. The September quarter also generated A$29.6 million in operating cash flow, although cash fell to A$95.5 million after heavy investment and debt repayments.
- Woodlawn mined 202,334 tonnes and processed 201,130 tonnes, both quarterly records
- A$29.6 million operating cash inflow, with A$95.5 million cash at quarter-end
- First Pioneer Dome lithium ore mined, with DSO shipment targeted for the December quarter
- Yitirrti plant construction and underground development remain on schedule or ahead
- FY27 growth capital guidance maintained at A$411 million to A$458 million

Woodlawn reaches record operating scale
Develop Global Limited (ASX:DVP) pushed Woodlawn to its highest quarterly mining and processing volumes yet, producing a useful test of whether the restarted NSW operation can support the company’s broader growth ambitions. Woodlawn mined 202,334 tonnes of ore and processed 201,130 tonnes in the September quarter, with throughput up 17% from the previous quarter.
The result was achieved despite a scheduled concentrator shutdown, while zinc recovery improved to 83% from 75% in June. Copper-equivalent production reached 3,697 tonnes, the mine’s second-highest quarterly result, although the feed included lower-grade ore outside the mine plan that Develop said was relatively easy and inexpensive to access and contained significant precious metals. The company said October feed grade had returned to 2.9% CuEq, in line with the reserve, and left FY27 guidance unchanged.

Woodlawn ended the quarter with 1.54 million tonnes of developed ore grading 2.8% CuEq available for production, plus 40,952 tonnes of surface stockpiles. Exploration added another layer to the story: a 12.2-metre intersection grading 15.7% CuEq in the J Lens and a 190-metre down-plunge extension to the N Lens have prompted Develop to dedicate a rig to exploration and growth. Those are exploration results, not yet an increase to the mine plan or resource, and follow-up assays remain pending. The company had previously reported record June quarter output, when Woodlawn copper-equivalent production reached 4,625 tonnes.
Pioneer Dome moves from development to shipments
At Pioneer Dome in Western Australia, open-pit mining began at the Cade Pit and first lithium ore was mined late in the quarter. Develop reported 173,763 bank cubic metres of material moved, with crushing scheduled to begin in October and the first direct-shipping ore shipment still targeted for the December 2026 quarter.
The logistics chain is now contracted across road haulage, port storage and ship loading. The company also said the offtake structure includes a floor price intended to protect the return on capital deployed. Pioneer Dome is guided to mine 650,000 to 750,000 tonnes in FY27 at an average grade of 1.2% Li2O, with a 70% to 85% recovery range through the DSO converter. A revised mineral resource estimate is due in the December quarter after infill drilling.
Yitirrti construction accelerates towards 2028 production
Yitirrti, formerly Sulphur Springs, remains the largest capital call in the portfolio. GR Engineering Services is mobilising under the A$275 million processing plant contract, with access roads, earthworks, long-lead items and a concrete batch plant progressing. Underground development reached a quarterly record of 991 metres, taking the total to 3,014 metres and keeping the work ahead of schedule.

First concentrate remains targeted for the June 2028 quarter. That timetable follows the A$275 million plant contract, awarded in August, while FY27 guidance assigns Yitirrti A$367 million to A$406 million of growth capital. The project will remain in construction throughout FY27, so the filing provides no production or operating-cost guidance for it.
Cash generation improves, but the buildout is expensive

Develop generated A$29.6 million in net operating cash flow after receiving A$146.9 million from customers. That was more than offset by A$46.8 million of investing outflows and A$12.1 million of financing outflows, including A$10.2 million of debt repayments, leaving cash at A$95.5 million versus A$124.8 million at the start of the quarter.
The company reported about A$504 million of undrawn financing facilities, giving total available funding of roughly A$599.5 million at quarter-end. The Trafigura facility had A$388.2 million remaining undrawn, while total FY27 capital expenditure is guided at A$452 million to A$506 million, including A$411 million to A$458 million of growth spending. The arithmetic leaves liquidity available for the programme, but execution will matter as several projects move from construction into operating delivery.
FY27 guidance now faces its first operational tests
Develop expects Woodlawn to process 775,000 to 875,000 tonnes in FY27 for 21,000 to 23,500 tonnes of contained copper equivalent, while Mining Services revenue is forecast at A$100 million to A$110 million. Waihi and Core Lithium’s BP33 decline are ramping up, and the Bellevue contract has now been completed and demobilised.
The next evidence points are concrete rather than rhetorical: whether Woodlawn sustains its planned grades and throughput, whether Pioneer Dome produces its first shipment in the December quarter, and whether Yitirrti can maintain its construction schedule as spending peaks. The quarter provides momentum on all three fronts, but it also marks the point at which Develop’s growth strategy begins demanding delivery across multiple assets at once.
Bottom Line?
Develop has established operating momentum and substantial funding capacity, but the next quarter will test whether Pioneer Dome can convert first ore into first sales while Woodlawn sustains its planned performance.
Questions in the middle?
- Will Woodlawn’s return to planned ore feed translate into production within the FY27 guidance range?
- Can Pioneer Dome complete its first DSO shipment in the December quarter and demonstrate the expected offtake economics?
- Will Yitirrti’s construction progress remain on schedule as the group deploys up to A$406 million of FY27 growth capital?
