Qantas launch gives Gratifii’s rebuilt rewards marketplace a major test

Gratifii has put its rebuilt Connect+ Marketplace in front of Qantas, Woolworths MarketPlus and Blackhawk Network, opening distribution channels that reach millions of loyalty members. The commercial momentum came as quarterly cash receipts fell 16.5% and available funding stood at roughly 2.5 quarters.

  • Binding three-year Qantas agreement launched in under three months
  • Six-month Woolworths MarketPlus proof of concept carries no minimum volumes
  • Cash receipts fell to A$11.6 million, while operating cash outflow improved to A$0.9 million
  • A$2.3 million cash balance plus A$50,000 unused overdraft capacity
  • Mosh integration completed and five further enterprise opportunities remain in the pipeline

Qantas Launch Puts Rebuilt Marketplace Before a National Audience

Gratifii Limited (ASX:GTI) has moved beyond its traditional mid-market rewards base, launching its rebuilt Connect+ Marketplace for Qantas Frequent Flyer members under a binding three-year agreement. The platform went from signing to launch in roughly three months, with Qantas set to promote the catalogue through its November Christmas campaign across print, online and social channels.

The arrangement allows members to earn Qantas Points when they buy Gratifii’s movies and experiences, as well as redeem points to pay for them. Gratifii said sales had already begun before the campaign, but revenue will depend on transaction volumes and cannot yet be reliably quantified. That makes the launch strategically visible before it becomes financially measurable.

Enterprise Pipeline Expands Through API Distribution

The Qantas launch is one part of a rapid run of enterprise integrations. Gratifii has signed a six-month proof-of-concept with Woolworths MarketPlus, allowing customers to spend points on its movie tickets and experiences. The arrangement has no minimum volume commitment and would need to clear initial performance hurdles before converting into a longer-term contract.

Blackhawk Network has also received direct API access to Gratifii’s cinema ticketing network, covering 199 locations across 18 chains. The deal builds on the Blackhawk API agreement, which previously established the network’s reach and automated ticketing model. EML Payments has extended its existing relationship to include more than 80 retail gift cards, while Seniors Victoria has signed to distribute movies, attractions and experiences through a direct API.

RAC WA has separately signed a non-binding term sheet to move onto Connect+ Marketplace, with launch targeted before the end of calendar 2026. Gratifii said five additional enterprise opportunities are progressing, although the filing gives no value or timing for those prospects.

Cash Receipts Fall as Operating Burn Improves

The commercial expansion arrived against a softer financial quarter. Cash receipts fell 16.5% from the previous quarter to A$11.6 million, reflecting the full-quarter impact of a major programme that ended in May and seasonal weakness in the September period. Gratifii expects the December quarter to be stronger, supported by Black Friday, Christmas gifting and the new enterprise channels, but it has not provided guidance for their contribution.

Net operating cash outflow improved 59% to A$0.9 million, helped by lower product and operating costs, which fell 29% to A$9.7 million. Staff costs rose to A$1.6 million as Gratifii absorbed Mosh, expanded its commercial team and incurred consulting costs associated with the Marketplacer integration.

Cash ended the quarter at A$2.3 million, alongside A$50,000 of unused overdraft capacity. The Appendix 4C calculates estimated funding at 2.5 quarters based on the quarter’s operating cash use; that measure remains sensitive to both transaction growth and continued cost control. The balance was also affected by the A$5.0 million Marketplacer convertible-note investment and placement proceeds received during the quarter.

Mosh Integration Adds Capacity Behind Enterprise Growth

Gratifii completed its Mosh Social Media acquisition on 27 July, and said the teams are now integrated. Creative and design work has moved to Mosh, while new social-media client work has been won and the acquired business is performing ahead of budget, according to the company. The transaction followed the Mosh acquisition settlement, which was structured alongside a deferred Simplicity deal.

Gratifii also completed its A$5.0 million investment in Marketplacer, the technology partner behind the Connect+ Marketplace, and appointed Rod Walker as an independent non-executive director after Patrina Kerr’s retirement. The company is now testing whether the platform’s faster enterprise onboarding can translate into sustained transaction volumes before the cash cushion becomes a more immediate constraint.

Bottom Line?

Qantas campaign activity and Woolworths conversion are the next practical tests of whether enterprise reach can replace lost programme volume before liquidity tightens.

Questions in the middle?

  • How much transaction volume will Qantas generate once its November campaign reaches Frequent Flyer members?
  • Will Woolworths MarketPlus clear its proof-of-concept hurdles and convert into a longer-term contract?
  • Can the five enterprise prospects progress quickly enough to offset the lower cash receipts and 2.5-quarter funding estimate?
