Warrant Funding Passes $2.3 Million
Me Today Limited (NZX:MEE) has secured $2.31 million through Series 1 warrant exercises, giving the consumer health company additional funding as it prepares to increase brand and marketing investment. More than 80% of the 47.26 million warrants on issue had been exercised by 29 October, with the exercise window due to close at 5pm on 30 October.
Entities associated with chairman Grant Baker and CEO Stephen Sinclair are exercising all their warrants, contributing $1.785 million. Other holders have exercised a further 8.8 million warrants for $528,000, while additional notices are expected, including from Sharesies members. The final amount remains unknown until the exercise period closes.
Revenue Growth Comes With a Narrower Loss
The funding arrives after a stronger FY26 operating performance. Gross revenue rose 36% to $7.96 million, ahead of the company’s $7.4 million guidance, while the EBITDA loss narrowed to $1.23 million from $2.14 million. Continuing operations recorded a $1.46 million loss before tax, compared with $2.37 million a year earlier, excluding King Honey.
The result had already been outlined in the FY26 revenue results, which reported that the remaining Me Today business continued to grow while still consuming cash. At 30 June 2026, cash stood at $1.83 million, net assets were $2.51 million and borrowings had fallen to $2.25 million after King Honey’s bank debt and subordinated note left the group through receivership.
New Zealand and China Lead Expansion
New Zealand remains the core market, with net revenue increasing to $2.69 million from $1.62 million. Me Today said scan data through its largest New Zealand retail partner showed sales up 75% in the 12 months to 21 October 2026, following a planogram change that improved in-store visibility.
China licence fee revenue also increased, reaching $1.1 million for the year to 31 March 2026 from $450,000 previously. The licensing partner now owns 40% of the Me Today China trademark after meeting revenue targets, and the company expects it could reach 50% ownership during FY27. That progression follows the China trademark stake increase, where the partner’s ownership rose after a revenue milestone.
FY27 Forecast Points to Continued Investment
Me Today expects gross revenue for the six months ending 31 December 2026 to exceed $4.5 million, up from $3.3 million in the comparable FY26 period. The EBITDA loss is expected to be below $500,000, compared with $827,000 in the first half of FY26.
Management said the full-year priority remains revenue growth, with brand and marketing expenditure expected to increase in the second half of FY27. The company is also building out an exclusive distribution agreement covering Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam, while planning more than 20 product launches across categories including women’s health, hydration, metabolism support and stress.
Bottom Line?
Me Today has improved revenue and reduced losses, but the next test is whether fresh warrant capital can turn market expansion and product launches into a path toward profitability.
Questions in the middle?
- How much additional capital will be raised when the Series 1 warrant window closes?
- Can New Zealand and China sustain their FY26 growth rates as marketing spending increases?
- Will the Southeast Asian distribution agreement produce meaningful revenue beyond its initial Singapore launch?
