Cash balance falls after A$5.97 million quarterly outflow
Pure One Corporation Limited (ASX:P1E) finished the September quarter with A$1.219 million in cash and cash equivalents, down from A$7.190 million at the previous quarter-end. The A$5.971 million reduction comprised A$1.336 million used in operating activities, A$2.403 million used in investing activities and A$2.232 million used in financing activities.
The company received A$0.989 million from customers during the quarter, but that was outweighed by operating payments across sales and marketing, operations, projects, engineering, administration, mobility and Eastern Gas Corporation-related expenses. The filing does not provide a revenue or earnings measure for the quarter, making cash movement the clearest indicator of near-term funding pressure.
Eastern Gas absorbs most of investing outflow
Investing cash use was dominated by A$2.344 million spent on Eastern Gas Corporation exploration and evaluation. A further A$55,000 went towards hydrogen project and vehicle development, with A$4,000 spent on property, plant and equipment.
That allocation sits alongside Pure One’s zero-emission vehicle push, including the Alpha battery-swap prime mover and Zeus electric van. The company’s earlier vehicle rollout progress included the planned launch of those models and deliveries of other electric commercial vehicles, but the current filing does not disclose vehicle sales, orders or customer conversion for the quarter.
Debt repaid while funding facilities remain unused
Financing cash use included repayment of A$2.2 million, which Pure One says was the remaining balance of its strategic debt facility and was repaid on 15 July 2026. A further A$32,000 related to lease liabilities. The company reported no equity issuance, borrowings or option exercise proceeds during the quarter.
Pure One reported A$7.302 million of unused financing facilities at quarter-end, against the A$1.219 million cash balance. The disclosure refers to an equity placement facility with Long State Capital and an ATM facility with Dolphin Capital Partners; it also refers to the strategic funding facility in a passage that appears to contain a September 2025 date reference, despite describing the quarter ended September 2026. The filing does not explain that apparent date inconsistency.
Runway depends on access to undrawn capital
Using quarterly relevant outgoings of A$3.680 million, Pure One calculates total available funding of A$8.521 million and estimated coverage of 2.32 quarters. That calculation includes the unused facilities, not just cash in the bank or on call. The company therefore has limited cash on hand relative to its reported spending rate, with the funding assessment depending materially on its ability to access the undrawn capital.
The next quarterly report should show whether Eastern Gas expenditure remains at a similar level, whether vehicle development begins producing customer receipts, and whether any of the reported facilities are drawn. The more immediate question is whether Pure One can convert its commercial vehicle activity into operating cash before its available funding buffer becomes materially tighter.
Bottom Line?
Pure One has removed its strategic debt balance, but only A$1.219 million was held in cash at quarter-end. The investment case now turns on spending discipline, facility access and evidence that vehicle activity is becoming revenue-generating.
Questions in the middle?
- How much of the A$7.302 million in unused facilities can Pure One access, and on what terms?
- Will Eastern Gas exploration spending remain near the A$2.344 million quarterly level?
- When will Alpha, Zeus and other vehicle programs begin contributing meaningful customer receipts?
